Mindfulness Daily Check-In February 19, 2018

I would like to propose an unusual change in the naming of the days of the week. When working people think of Monday it is often thought of as the start of the drudgery. This is a sad state of affairs. Rather than maintaining this tradition, I propose breaking away and calling Monday a new name:

Joyday

Reason for change: There is so much to be joyful for. We have a new opportunity to practice being aware of what is happening. No more drudgery doing the same thing over and over again, we live mindfully and every moment can be fresh and new. Rather than seeing ourselves doing the same thing over and over again, we see ourselves as becoming more adept in shifting our awareness to neutral or positive things instead of negative things.
