How do you handle unexpected situations?

Good morning community! I do hope that you all are doing good. How do we deal with unexpected situations that come our way? What mindfulness skills do you do that help you?

To help me deal with unexpected situations I use my stress bucket- or another strategy such as gratitude journal

Hi-I can start. Last month due to the heavy snow and ice our apartment roof collapse in and our one half of our home got ruined. I was at work-come home and couldn't get into the house. Eventually yes as I had animals to get. So life in a hotel for a bit, work, and trying not to worry. Could not get onto the site as internet was slow and unreliable.

Mindfulness did help me and my family-not to mention the dogs were calmer. Daily we woke up thankful to be alive and also to still have some of our stuff not wrecked. We done a lot of distractions as we did not like living in a hotel.

Last week we were able to move back in. Still do not have our new beds-but that is ok. Got a new computer that rocks!! My family and dogs could of been stressed and tense if I did not go to mindfulness skills❤️

I use my coping skills I keep in my tool box of notes. I write in my journal everyday. Every night and all day Sunday is my self care times to do something nice to me. I read more on mindfulness so I can learn other ways to improve myself.

Nice to see you Pam❤️I am so happy to hear you use your coping skills. Wow even setting certain days for self care is awesome. I do hope you are reading much goodness❤️
