The Habit That’s Keeping Us Stuck
It is usual for each of us to think about the negative incidents of our lives or be reminded of them occasionally. But to replay them repeatedly, which becomes obsessive and affects your daily life, is what rumination is. To constantly rethink and delve over what could have happened or didn't happen is what happens when we ruminate, as in psychology. Rumination drains our energy and subconsciously reinforces one’s cynicism. And that is why being more mindful of the present is essential. To be more conscious is to indulge in habits that keep us away from negative thoughts and our future, and it is also about making a constant effort to enjoy the present. We can indulge in any activity and technique that helps us to be more mindful and better suits us.
