Depression can drain our energy and make it hard for us to live and enjoy the things we once enjoyed. It is our past experiences or any trauma that we might have undergone that might have led us to be depressed. The first step to depression is acknowledging that you have it and knowing if it needs to be treated or not. Depression can often leave us feeling empty from within and make us numb. To help oneself from depression is to become more aware of oneself- that is, to develop self-acceptance and self-love. Self-acceptance can help us better understand ourselves and make us look at ourselves positively. Certain things work for some people, and finding which works for you is essential.
