Safety

WhatNameidk July 13th

I hear a lot about "feeling safe" and whilst I agree sometimes it is necessary I also feel it is very limiting

 I'm not a psychologist but I have read and believe that the subconscious can prioritise survival to the point where you sit alone in your room all day long and never go out and never talk to anyone and on one level you feel "safe" but on another you are desperately lonely and unhappy

 So you need to feel unsafe to get out of this. There's no way around it

@WhatNameidk I do agree and the feeling of safety is not tied to just some places or people, with time strangers can move to become people we feel safe with. It's all about taking a chance and allowing someone or something to become our new safe :)

@BlueDarkAurora

yes expansion is sometimes very necessary and I don't think it will ever feel "safe" but it is something you have to face anyway

@WhatNameidk can you explain the never feeling safe part? ^^

@BlueDarkAurora

Well lets say your safe feelings are defined by never getting too close to anyone, for fear of being hurt

 At some point you will realise that never getting close to anyone is very limiting, so you will have to feel unsafe by allowing yourself to be vulnerable and allowing your heart to reach out. Then you have to feel fear and lack of safety and decide that it is worth the risk

@WhatNameidk I see so the definition of the safe feeling stays the same but we just risk it for that special someone or something :D
