Hello Leadership Crew!
I am having a blast with you all. This leadership program is a lot of fun and Im glad we are doing it. I think itll help across many fronts. Shout out to @aleks2 and @quietmagic for their help looking at the first batch of results on our leadership composition. ÃÂ
Here is a summary:
Here is a summary from @quietmagic on what our collective - all of us together - strengths and weaknesses might be:
Leadership Crew Strengths:
Altruism/motivation: Having a deep passion for helping people that drives all we do and creates a feeling of purpose and meaning
Idealism: Having inspiring dreams and visions of just how unbelievably powerful and beneficial this site can be: imagining all of the good we might be able to create, all of the suffering we might be able to help heal
Kindness: Being able to create a kind, cooperative, culture that is gentle and considerate with people's feelings
Compassion: Being able to understand, connect with, and feel an urgency to resolve the needs, concerns, or problems of the people that we serve
Relationship: Feeling a yearning for deep, meaningful connections with others, creating a community where people are able to be authentic and feel a sense of belongingness
Leadership Crew Weaknesses
Practical implementation: Developing and optimizing systems, managing the fine details for concretely achieving our broad goals
Risk-taking: Being willing to take risks or make drastic changes to existing systems/practices where needed
The above analysis feels/seems right to me. This new leadership program in fact can be seen as one way that we are attempting to address a growth area by optimizing our leadership systems! And, zooming back, if there was going to be a team of people that was going to try to pull off the impossible (a free emotional support system), then I think itd be with the leadership composition described above under strengths. Itll take a lot of optimism and kindness to make this a reality!
Okay, lets transition to the next exercise and discussion.
Begin by taking the Big 5 test and answering the following questions. You can also read more on the Big 5 here ÃÂ and below.
1. What were the main things you learned about yourself?

3. How can the strengths you identified on both tests help you in your personal life?
4. How can the strengths you identified on both tests help you in a leadership role on 7 Cups and in your career?
After fulfilling the requirements of this post, please check out the next post here! You must take part in the brainstorming/activities given in all of these posts to successfully complete the program.

1.what you learned about yourself:
***I have learned that I have similar top 2 qualities in the Big 5 and MBTI. (MBTI: receptive; reliable) vs. (Big 5: open-minded and conscientious)
***I have also learned that the quality I scored the lowest in; negative emotionality (neuroticism) in the 40th percentile does make me sometimes prone to unhappiness and to feel like i am an alien in my own skin
2. top 3 strength in Big5:
*open-minded in the 94th percentile
*conscientious in the 89th percentile
* Agreeable in the 74th percentile
3.Identifiable strength help in personal life:
****In my personal life the identified strength can help me call upon them when needed if in a group or community environment.
*****For example, in being agreeable I am naturally considerate of others feelings. And in being an extrovert (in 67th percentile) I am sociable and I enjoy the company of others. The above characteristics can enable me to be an added benefit to my community.
4. identified strength help in leadership role in career and 7 cups:
****In my career: My identified strengths can help in a leadership role in my career by making me utilize them to their full capacity if working on a project.
For Example, my team should always sense that i am a reliable and conscientious leader no matter what. And they can present me with any creative and novel idea because I am open minded and receptive.
****In 7 cups: My identified strength can help in a leadership role in 7 cups by calling upon my open-mindedness when in a 1-1 chat or any group chat with community members especially that on 7 cups we come from different world-views and cultures. As for my reliability and contentiousness, it can come in handy when supporting community members in the long term.
@GlenM
1. What were the main things you learned about yourself?
I learned that I'm reliable and well-organized, however, I do tend to become anxious and that is something I need to work on.
2. What are your top 3 strengths according to this test?
My top three strengths would be:
- Open-Mindedness: I enjoy novel experiences and see things in new ways.
- Conscientiousness: I'm very well-organized and can be relied upon.
- Agreeableness: I consider the feelings of others and I'm sympathetic and forgiving.
3. How can the strengths you identified on both tests help you in your personal life?
With my strengths, I aim to achieve a higher goal of being the person I want to be. I want to be free-willed and encouraging, a simple sunshine personality to others who think they aren't worthy of life.
4. How can the strengths you identified on both tests help you in a leadership role on 7 Cups and in your career?
I'm going to become more mindful of these strengths and utilize them in my role as a listener/mod/supporter. I will imply my agreeableness and practice being more empathetic. Since I'm well-organized, my goal will be to take part in discussions, both as a host and a co-host and fulfill my duty.
@GlenM
1. What were the main things you learned about yourself?
I learned that I’m someone very introverted, conscientious of myself and surrounds which makes sense because though there’s some mess I have like in my closet I have them in a way I know where everything is or keep important things in one place and especially careful with how I interact with people making sure I respect them and show kindness, that I’m more open minded than I anticipated cause I much more close minded when I was younger but then growing up learning to expand myself a little so even if there were still things I didn’t think or want to know that I have done many unique experiences in which college helped with that; the last part is interesting because most people see my calm relaxed side and while I am generally someone relaxed I do get internally nervous alot like mostly mentally so that reflected in my results as high strung.
2. What are your top 3 strengths according to this test?
The top strengths I have from the results are well organized and reliable, spend quiet time alone, consider feelings of others and relatively open to new experiences. My self disciple and reliability reflect best when I’m working and people tell me I’m doing a good job of call me to sub. People tell me also that I’m patient and kind so that also reflects for good natured in terms of considering others feelings.
3. How can the strengths you identified on both tests help you in your personal life?
The strengths I identified on both tests can help me on my personal life by seeing the things that I can do to make a positive difference and help boost my confidence in getting out of my comfort zone in a way that also feels natural I think that’s why doing college online has actually benefitted me because I was able to work with what I’m naturally comfortable with as in doing assignments independently and in writing while also giving me the push to reach out to do programs and events that I probably wouldn’t have tried if in person.
4. How can the strengths you identified on both tests help you in a leadership role on 7 Cups and in your career?
The strengths I identified can help me in a leadership role on 7 Cups and my Career by focusing on what I can do well on such as emphasizing on listening and being kind fo others, focusing on being as diligent as I can and putting things orderly so I know from where I have documents and learning best practices and mixing between the knowledge and experiences I have when approaching people and contributing.
@Mari228 seems like the test helped you discover a lot of things. Thank you sharing it with us. It was great reading it

@iCareUK self-awareness is something we should have and happy to see you are self-aware and hoping to learn a lot more from this program. Thank you for sharing it with us
@iCareUK knowing what you are good at and your flaws would only help you become a better person.
@GlenM The main thing I learnt about myself through this test was I am more open minded and open to new experiences. I definitely find myself inclined to stuff I like doing and hence take up any opportunity which interests me here at cups. I learnt that I was neither very forgiving nor very irritable. I thought I get irritated easily and this is something new I learnt about myself. It also said I tend to get very anxious sometimes and that is true when I have to speak to a larger audience. And I hope to overcome that.
My top three strengths according and apart from the test it-: Being open minded. It is definitely important as I can positively take any suggestions and improve myself if there is scope for improvement. Open to new ideas and discussions would also help me overcome my introverted attitude and I aim to come out of it. There are things I am open to be a part of at cups and would be happy to do it.
Other one (which wasn't included in the test, but I believe is my strength) would definitely be my punctuality. I try to finish a given task well before time and I hope to graduate this program before time too. Punctuality is something I learnt from my parents, and I am happy to say I am punctual.
Third would be my commitment to a given task. I tend to complete a task I am given. I only commit to things I feel I can complete. I commit to things which I would enjoy and interests me. Being punctual and commitment to a certain task go hand in hand I feel.
Help me in real life-: punctuality is something important in real life. I personally like to be punctual and expect others to be punctual. Commitment is also an important part of any relationship. Being observant is something my parents like in me, and a lot of people noticed in me.
Help me in career and leadership roles-: punctuality is something important in any aspect of life. Being organized in the things I do is also important as it would help me in easy functioning of a given task. commitment is also something we need even in a career to complete a certain task. commitment to a leadership role I am given is something every leader should have as promising to do a certain task and not doing it is something I don't believe in. Being punctual here and helping people out in their respective journeys is definitely something people would appreciate (including giving frequent replies to people reaching out to me). Being organized helps you be aware of your roles and hence you don't mess things up by scheduling two tasks at a time. It also helps you have a clear picture of tasks you need to perform efficiently.
@yourbuddy30
those 3=traits will help you go far on cups and life.
@Goalsforlife Thank you!😊
1. What were the main things you learned about yourself?
Open to new experiences - check!
Disorganized - semi-check <3 the situations depicted, yes, I'm disorganized, but usually, I'm more reliable and self-disciplined :)
Introverted - check!
Agreeable - check!
Nervous/high strung - semi-check <3 I mean, I have anxiety.
2. What are your top 3 strengths according to this test?
I'm open to new experiences, I'm an introvert (let me explain why this is a strength, guys, lol), and I'm agreeable (although people in my reality would say otherwise haha!)
3. How can the strengths you identified on both tests help you in your personal life?
My strengths from both tests make me feel empowered and at the same time, melancholy. In the MBTI result, I also have altruistic and passionate as a result on top of being principled, insightful, and creative. For this test, my strengths are being open to new experiences, being an introvert, and being agreeable.
Reading that makes me feel proud; it's not every day that I get the chance to embrace the idea of being one of the rarest personality types. It somewhat validates how I process thoughts and emotions, something that I find myself having a hard time with most days because really, in a world where we are encouraged to celebrate our differences as much as our similarities, it still has certain parameters that society deems acceptable. I don't usually fit in those parameters so knowing that there is a small group of people like me on a global demographic is just... I somewhat feel relatively less alone.
On the other hand, I feel sad because it comes with a lot of responsibilities. I mean, you can't be gifted with those traits and expect that you just keep it to yourself. That's just unfair. But of course, I try to look at it from a positive perspective (or try to). I can help more people understand themselves, let them see other sides of a situation, and even do something as simple as making them smile. Awareness of such traits will encourage me to further be the person people need in their lives.
4. How can the strengths you identified on both tests help you in a leadership role on 7 Cups and in your career?
I have several projects in my head already and I keep coming up with more on a regular basis. I think I'm meant to help conceptualize how we can grow in and outside of our platform and reach more people in areas with no access to mental health care. As a creative, I can also create content that can help us further cement our brand as a global mental health service. From strategies to implementation to process review and improvement, I am capable.
1 I already new all that.
2 outgoing supportive calm reliable
3 I think it can help me with sports teams .
4 I think it help me getting my roles qutoa done and help me with l and m room roles. It can help me get in to the crm role at some point.
