A sloppy essay on education, tech, and phones:
Mobiles phones have their risks of addiction, they have their uses as well, as it stands they are a double edged sword dependant on many factors and contexts. Among these could be in an educational context, as it has already become very tech-integrated some apps like Duolingo further help that cause. Or as test-studying tool, through programs like IXL, that even in extreme circumstances could even give students more than what their homework could. Although, the other end of the double edged sword comes in overuse, as phones can not only facilitate learning but they can simultaneously hinder it, I'm sure most of us know what it's like to spend what seems like only a couple minutes only for an hour to go by, as much social media is designed for. They can even act as a means of cheating, especially given the new tech we have now being AI. If you thought that "Oh well students wouldn't reasonably have time to Google everything on the test" then you sound know, those tests have met their match. Overall, everything about phones are dependent on their circumstances, or educational factors and context, they can be a game changer for educational, but right now they are just in the middle.

@pw123 hey, so i designed the screens! i'm doing the cat database, and i'm going to have the user select the temperament they want from a dropdown, then click a button which leads to the next screen. that screen randomly picks a cat with that temperament and shows info on it - name, image, origin, average life span, and maybe average weight.
i'm not sure how i can work in traverse the data. do i need to change something? as i'm writing this i realized, maybe since it's randomly picking a cat with the selected temperament, it's filtering the list for cats with that temperament. am i right on that? i think i got the rest figured out.

@pw123 actually, i have no idea how to do this :D i'm switching to just image and cat name. i'm not sure if i'm even able to filter the list by the temperament, so i'm gonna ask my teacher whenever i see her next. :/

Ya i would say if in order to randomly select a cat with that temperament, if it would afiltered array with only that kind of temperament, then *** it would need to traverse a bigger list to get the one its randomizing from so it might fit the citera but if u can try check in with ur teacher she should clarify too if shes free

so aye, im thinking of using the cat database, maybe i have a dropdown where people can pick the temperament they want and then it takes them to a screen with a list of cats with that temperament? idk just a thought

aye idk if filtering the data by temperament is even possible. the temperament column lists like 5 different adjectives for each cat, and they're all kind of random. i want to sort some of them into 3 groups - affectionate, energetic, and calm. so like some say "gentle" instead of calm, and those would go in the calm group. is that even possible?

because i would randomize the cat based on what the user picked out of those three temperaments, but not all cats have one of those exact temperaments listed
