Ikigai
Ikigai, a Japanese concept, encapsulates the sources that bring value to life and make it meaningful. It signifies both these sources and the state of mind associated with them, commonly referred to as Ikigai-kan. This concept, tied to happiness, contributes to self-worth and is future-oriented, rooted in individual values. The exploration of purpose through Ikigai involves four key areas: Passion, Vocation, Mission, and Profession. As Mitsuhashi (2018) succinctly puts it, "ikigai is the action we take in pursuit of happiness."
Personally, integrating integrity and authenticity into decision-making fosters a genuine and congruent life path. It serves as a compass, guiding decisions in a way that feels true to oneself.
What actions do you do to feel happy?
For me, finding my happy place is all about those good vibes and things that light me up. First off, chilling with my friends is a game-changer. Whether it's gaming, hitting up a hangout spot, or just shooting the breeze, being around people who get me is key.
Then there's my go-to playlist – music that hits the right notes and lifts my mood. Pumping up those jams is like an instant mood booster, you know? And let's not forget about diving into my hobbies – whether it's gaming, skating, or whatever brings out my passion.
Setting goals and hitting them is like my secret sauce for satisfaction. Small wins, big wins – it doesn't matter; each one adds up to that feel-good vibe. Plus, doing something kind for others, even if it's just lending an ear or a hand, always leaves me with a sense of fulfillment.
Lastly, embracing those lazy days when I can just Netflix and chill, or getting outside and soaking up some sun – those moments are gold. It's all about the balance, man, and finding what clicks for you.
This lesson is taught in the Inner Development Goals Course, you can learn more about more such values in the course here
I'm still figuring out what makes me happy, but lately, I've found it in being able to support members in our 1-on-1 chats. Knowing that I helped them goes such a long way for them and then for me as well. I hope to continue working hard as a listener for both of our benefits :)

I realized that helping people, atleast listening to them makes me satisfied and happy.

Helping people makes me happy and satisfied.
❤️ Awesome post! I love your ingredients to happiness: they're meaningful activities that bring enormous value and joy to life. I hope you keep enjoying them and that your Ikigai helps you to be even happier ❤️
❤️ To feel happy, I listen to music, sing, talk with friends, support people on 7 Cups, watch series while I eat delicious food, spend time with my cats, work on my goals, contemplate the sky and relax. However, when I envision paradise, I see a beautiful and peaceful beach (with fun ocean waves!). Luckily, it's summer in here, so I might be at the beach soon ❤️

Ikigai is a good place to start when we are unsure where we should spend our time/effort to have a fulfilling life.
It looks like you have found a good balance between being productive but also resting.

Some actions that I do to feel happy are:
1. Having a clean house
2. Taking walks
3. Practice Mindfulness, breathing exercises
4. Exercising
5. not doing laundry Haha 😂
Music is such a great mood booster! I think the things that make me happiest are my kids and my pets.
although I don't really like that term make me happy, because truly the only person that can make me happy is me. But my kids and my pets definitely add to the joy of each and every day.
