Crossfit or Hiit?

MistyMagic February 27th, 2023

Did you know how many types of gym there are?

Did you know that HiiT or High-intensity interval training can burn more calories in a shorter time?

Maybe you like to just take it easy and go for a run or jog?
What about Crossfit? any xfitters out there?

HiiT is my absolute FAVORITE. I actually get so excited and look forward to working out when I think about doing HiiT workouts.

@Mobley4275 Great to hear! I get tired just by watching the workouts! But I am beginning to know what all the movements are now.
Do you compete?

Lol yes, same! I get so worn out but that’s usually what I am striving for in a work out and I’m an incredibly inpatient person so I feel like HIIT gets me to where I’m going much faster than anything else 😅

No, I do not compete at all. I’m not a very competitive person. Do you?

@Mobley4275 I don't, I dog sit whilst my family goes and competes, it is like they enjoy the crazy frenzy of the fastness, so you are right!

Am not a participant as chronic conditions require any physical activity to be less strenuous than in either exercise style. This is just a word of caution for anyone considering CrossFit...it has a reputation for injuring its devotees. That reputation may be a bit overblown but there does seem to be a slight pattern for Crossfit competitors. Read more here.

The only other thing I'll say is: I don't do kipping pull-ups. Those are a good way to wreck your shoulders.

@MistyMagic

i wouldn’t say running is easy! I run both cross country and track as my preferred fitness and it’s really intense
