My hobbies
Hi, this is my first post here. I thought I would talk about my hobbies. When I was a child I learned how to knit continental style. Then as an adult I finally taught myself crochet. This got me not only really into crochet but back into knitting. Now, two years later I've bought a sewing machine and completely resized a pair of shorts, so as I lost weight they still were wearable and I've also bought a weaving loom which I've made a blanket for my dog with. I also got a spinning wheel. I guess you could say my real hobby is thread and yarn and all the great things you can do with it rather than a particular craft.
Thanks

Wow, you really are into everything thread and yarn! It's great to have hobbies you really enjoy ๐ธ If you wanted to share photos of anything you've made, I'd love to see them!
There's plenty of others here who love hobbies like yours, you'll find them in various hobby journals or in the arts and crafts section here in HZ.

@rainyEmbrace6848 Welcome to 7 Cups! Hope you are enjoying the community!
Lovely hobbies, I share with you the fascination about a sewing machine and I am looking forwards to creating more clothes.
I can't knit continental style but it is so much faster, I guess because I was taught to knit the English way in school it has stuck. What are you making >

Sorry for the delay, I couldn't manage to find my own post!
Here is a photo of a few different things I made.
Top left is a blanket I wove, next is a pink cushion/pillow cover I made, then I also made the pink/white one. The black thing is a scarf I wove, and the light grey thing on the bottom right is a cardigan I made. I'm in the process of knitting another cardigan but I've only got one arm attached and it looks a mess so I didn't include it

An easy way to find your own posts would be to click on your profile, and then click on 'my forum threads' and any post you've made or bookmarked will be kept there, and there's a handy search feature too.
And I'm impressed by what you've made! The blanket I love and the pillows too, the patterns on them look so good! The patterns on the cardigan too, it's all very satisfying and pleasing to look at. It's the kind of pattern that makes me want to touch it because it looks like a good texture ๐บ I don't know any correct terminology for it, but to me it looks great! (any kind of knitting or sewing seems so complicated to me so I'm even more impressed ๐ฎ๐๐ป)
Hoenstly, those are great hobbies I don't really know how to do, crochet or knit, but I'm impressed with what you have in store when it comes to your hobbies and talents
