Talks to dogs on walks
Is anyone here who talks to dogs on their daily walks as a hobby as and when you see one or if you have one? ( or is it just me?) :P

I do not have a pet, but my husband and in laws, and my parents had pets, like generations of pet owners, but we love dogs and cats ( I love all animals and squirrels :P)

I talk to my dogs every day. Not just on walks 😁 they are better listeners than my husband!

@TU100OT I talked to my dog all the time when I would take him out in his stroller, we'd also listen to music even though he was partially deaf

@TU100OT I don't do that! I think that me just you😂😂😂😂 although I have pet pigs, 3 little pigs 😁 I talk to them, and they talk back ❤ they make little squeaks

@TU100OT Hello! I'm a little different than you. I need to have my walk as I'm trying to lose my weight. But my main motivation of walking is petting all the cats owned by the stores near me, talking to all the cats, and feeding the stray cats🤣🤣🤣
I swear those cats make my lose weight journey easier.

my reason is also the same actually, to lose weight and my main aim is to pet cats dogs cows whoever I come across

I think it's a SIN if you walk by a dog and you do not acknowledge him/her.
Whenever I am walking past a dog I always say hello, and I have a list of ways I say it that my husband finds funny and also a little bit absurd 🤣
They're in Italian so they cannot be translated perfectly, but they're all similar to "hi little puppy" (bonus point if it's an older, big dog - I love calling them puppies!), "oooh look at you!", or "oh, hello you!" 😄
Of course each sentence has to be said with a very high and silly voice 🤣

I also use a high pitched voice, it gets them all lovey-dovey 😂
My dog is the person I talk more with. I ask him for advice, he really listen. I wonder why his answer is often 'maybe you want to eat?'

He's kinda like "you are sad, let's eat" "you seem scary, maybe distract giving me lunch?" "don't get angry, get hungry!" "why are you crying when there's all this smelly food in the fridge?" "I know that you miss him, but you know what? I'm sure he would have like you to eat 😔 canihavealittlepiece ?? Pls"
