Not a movie but I really enjoyed the show The Wire. It is pretty old now but very interesting and illustrates the complexities of life across systems.

it nearly brought me to tears several times while i watched it
if things like rambo or terminator are there to make you feel powerful , silent voice is the gut punch that shows you how weak you might end up being and comforts you that its ok and you can get better with time , effort and support
