Any divers?
Marine life fascinates me. Talking about the sea and its life really recharges my batteries.
Anyone has a similar feeling?
@mediterraneanSun
I love the sea. I love the sense of freedom/lack of boundaries
I haven't yet dived. I'd like to have a go one day, but my need to wear glasses makes it challenging. But I've found a way to snorkel, and that's great. And maybe that would work for diving too..
Wishing you great diving adventures
@Clio9876 I agree, snorkeling is as much as I have done.

@mediterraneanSun I would love to dive but so far haven't had the opportunity. Do you dive, if so where and what was it like?

@MistyMagic
I dived in several countries most impressive places were Canary Islands and Andaman Islands.
Going under the water in itself is a different experience: the ungravity, the sounds, swimming with schools of fish, being part of what's going on as one in the sea.
The whole experience is mersmerizing for me.
Really hope for you to have that chance soon ☀️
@mediterraneanSun ungravity? what's that like? Do you need to use lead weights?

@MistyMagic
In general, the use of weights is a choice of the diver, personally I prefer to use them.
The feeling of ungravity happens on neutral buoyancy this occurs when the forces pulling you up (mainly the air) and the forces pulling you down (weight) cancel each other and you feel you're suspended in the water as in floating but under the surface

I got my PADI open water last april and I absolutely love diving.
The marine life has always fascinated me as well, but I felt "limited" to only snorkeling and swimming.I plan to do my next dive in July and I can't wait! Its so tranquil and peaceful under water, it's hard to describe. But it is amazing.
@Ninziesss
Congratulations. You enthusiastic description inspires me.
Thanks so much!
I also wear glasses, but when I did my diving I wore contacts. They also sell special lenses to put in your mask. It might be worth to check it out!
@Ninziesss
Also PADI here 😊
That's awesome you're diving very soon. Really glad for you. Enjoy 👌🏽😄
Thanks so much!
You mentioned the diving in the Canary Islands were most impressive. Where did you go if I may ask? I'm going to Gran Canaria in september 😄
I went to Tenerife, Lanzarote and Gran Canaria. Loved them all, each island has its own charm.
In Gran Canaria, I snorkeled in Playa de Las Canteras, there is a reef where you can see lots of fish and octopus and although current and wind are strong you can snorkel during low tide periods. For diving I did that in Playa de la Tufia. Also the sand dunes in the south are worth visiting they are very impressive.
Wish you a very nice trip in Gran Canaria ☀️
@Ninziesss Ninz is there no end to your talents! How wonderful to be able to do that
