What's your favorite childhood game?
12. Robot Unicorn Attack 1 & 2
I feel like I'm dating myself a bit here, haha....
Back in the day I used to play both NES and Game Boy games with my father, we really enjoyed playing co-op Battle City, and playing Bomberman, Circus Charlie, Super Mario Bros. and many others in turns. We also shared a Pokémon Crystal game and 16~17 years later I still have the same game with our first Chikorita, named "CHI", which is already a Lvl. 100 Meganium, lol. It's a time of my life that will never come back, but listening to those games' soundtracks brings me back to that time for a moment...
I grew up playing Zoo Tycoon, Age of Mythology/Empires, Animal Crossing, Pokémon, Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda and many other games with my friend. We still remember that time of our lives, when the only thing you had to worry about was having enough power in your portable console... lol. Not a game, but still an honorable mention: RPG Maker. We used to make our own buggy, low-quality RPG games with the default sprites in one or two days and then share it with each other the following day in the school using a pen drive, hahah.
Also, VisualBoyAdvance was a revolution (and other emulators). We didn't have Internet so we had to go to the computer room of our school to download the ROMS we wanted. At first, pen drives weren't common so we had to use floppy disks or even burn then in a CD-ROM (yeah, *facepalm*), lol.
And I'll just leave this here:

Ratchet and Clank was always my favorite.
I'm a little younger and I have never seen the games you are talking about :-( Surely there is a difference between our generations, my games were Diablo 3 and Uncharted
