National Picnic Month - Check In (July 16th-23rd)
Hello everyone!! Welcome back to another Hobby Zone Check in! Did you know that July is National Picnic Month? Well, that's this week's check in theme :). For all of you out there that love food, outdoors, and picnics, this is your monthhh
Firstly, I just want to check up on you guys:
1. How are you feeling right now?
2. What is one positive thing that happened today?
Now to get back to picnicsss, here's two fun questions:
3. Imagine that you were going on a picnic tomorrow for lunch. Who would you invite? What would you put into your picnic basket? Is there a specific blanket that you would put on the floor for everyone to sit on? Plan your picnic, you can be as vague or as specific as you want
4. For those of you who have gone on a picnic before, what was your last picnic experience? For those of you who haven't been on one before, do you want to go on one or is it something that you don't enjoy?
I hope you guys had fun answering these questions and taking part in this activity!
Before I sign off, I'd like to introduce two special people that just joined the Hobby Zone team!! We have @NicholasW who joined as a Project Agent, and we have @WorriedMagpie who joined as a Forum Supporter. I'm truly so excited to work with both of you! We would love it if you guys could tell us a little bit about yourselvess
Well that brings us to an end, see you guys next weekkk. I'm looking forward to seeing all of your responses, I can't wait to read all the picnic plans :)

1. How are you feeling right now?
Egg-sited! Really Excited the team is growing and we have so many awesome posts!
2. What is one positive thing that happened today?
It was hot, I mean really hot and I love the heat!
3. Imagine that you were going on a picnic tomorrow for lunch. Who would you invite? What would you put into your picnic basket? Is there a specific blanket that you would put on the floor for everyone to sit on? Plan your picnic, you can be as vague or as specific as you want
I would invite the whole of Hobby Zone! And more friends too! To name a few @EmotionsListener @Bookworm274 @emotionalTalker2260 @Zoup @Victor04 @AffyAvo @TortuedesBois @NoneTheWiser @TyeDyedButterfly65 @TheRiverIsSinging @CheeryMango @AmazingNutella24
We would have a plush soft velvety feel blanket and also pretty deckchairs to sit on and we would have lots of snacks and icecreams because of the heat, We would be by the sea too so a cool sea breeze.
4. For those of you who have gone on a picnic before, what was your last picnic experience? For those of you who haven't been on one before, do you want to go on one or is it something that you don't enjoy?
It was great! The sun shone and we all laughed and enjoyed each other's company

@MistyMagic
Hi Mistyyyy! I know right, I love that this team is growing. I still remember our initial discussions when you became CML, it feels like we've come such a far way even though it's only been a few weeks. It was hot for me too, what a coincidence :o
I absolutely loveee your picnic plan! The soft blanket sounds so comfortable and the deck chairs are so convenient. The beach is my absolute favorite, so a picnic by the beach with ice creams sounds like paradise. On top of all of this, having 7cups friends there just makes it perfect! As a part of the Hobby Zone, I offer to bring some soda, chocolate ice cream, and potato chips for everyoneee
I'm so glad that your previous picnic experience was really special :)
Thank you so much for taking part, I loved reading your answers
@Paprika001
Hi Paprika!
Thank you for your engaging Check-in!
- In this precise moment, I feel a bit tired (midnight here) but happy and motivated
- I was stuck in front of a blank page for days after reading much scattered material for an essay, and this evening I could finally see a clear structure. Now is about "filling in the blanks" with materials I already have.
- I would invite a young cousin that likes to go for long walks and has very interesting conversation. We would walk to a nearby beautiful park and sit in front of its lake. I would bring tomato and cheese sandwiches, and orange juice. And a couple of camping mats to sit on.
- My last picnic was pre-covid, in front of some beautiful mountains, having lunch after a long trek. It was wonderful because of the amazing view, the environment, and also because I was very very hungry at that point, so I enjoyed much eating my simple meal ("hunger is the best sauce").
Thank you again!
See you soon!

Hi Marcelo, thank you so much for taking part in this check in! I'm glad that you feel happy and motivated, I hope you were able to get some sleep since it was getting late and you felt tired! It's great that you were finally able to see a clear structure after many days of thinking.
I love your camping plan. I think it's so sweet of you to take your little cousin with you. Sitting in a park near a lake sounds like it's gonna be so much fun, that's where I had my last picnic! I'm sure that the two of you will have so much fun talking about eating the tasty sandwiches :). Your last picnic experience sounds so beautiful, I hope that I will be able to have a picnic near mountains at some point
@Paprika001
Hello hobbyzone! ππ¦
And hello Paprika!π Really excited to work with you too! Thankyou so much for such a warm welcome! -- I'm really good thankyou! I hope you doing well too!
I'm magpie :D I'll be one of your new forum supporters so you might see me knocking around from time to time!
I'm gunna be spending the majority of my time hopefully in the art & crafts section and also in the gardening & outdoor hobbies -- I'll probably be poking around most of the others too so if you see me say hi! :D
I've got a bunch of ideas to share with you all and cant wait to get stuck in! πππ¦
***********
Picnic month! π€― Did not know that existed! I love a good picnic!
Something positive that happened today?
Today I finally got around to scrubbing all the rust of the woodstove in the living room, got me some good strong arms after all that! πͺπͺ
Perfect picnic?
Ooh somewhere warm with a light breeze, close to the edge of the woods surrounded by flowers and trees :) -- we would have a great big comfy tartan blanket -- lots of sandwiches and strawberries -- homemade lemonade and of course cookies! All in one of those cute wicker picnic baskets :)
It's so hard to pick who - so I'd have to just go on loads!
When was your last picnic and would you do it again?
It's honestly been so long I can't remember the last time I went on one! I would absolutely do it again, guess it's time to get one planned πππ¦
@WorriedMagpie
Hi Magpie, it's so nice to meet you! I'm glad that you're doing really good :). I am soo excited to see all of your ideas, I love that you will be focusing on two specific hobby sections. Both of those sound really funnn
It's great that you were able to get that done, I'm sure you've got some really big muscles now ahaha. Your picnic plan sounds magical. The location you chose feels so relaxing, just what we would see in the montage of a family movie! Sandwiches, strawberries, homemade lemonade, and cookies (a true 7cups favorite) is genuinely such a perfect combination of foods. I really hope that your next picnic will be similar to your perfect picnic plan!!
Thank you so much for taking part, I'm looking forward to seeing you around this subcommunityy
