❄️This past week has been quite a various mix of things... Last weekend I started off by getting out to both of my Zumba classes on Sat & Sun.. Then We also got out and about to enjoy the last of the warmer weather throughout the weekend & attended an outdoor Valentine's festival (the first one of the year)...., then did a little bit of light pre-spring shopping, ran the usual errands, got in Walks with the Furbaby, & relaxed a little before starting the week off...~

☃️ As the week started off, Monday started off well, but by the evening had taken a few various twists & turns with loved ones.... And as the week went on, causing some mild conflicts, emotional stressors, a few light & sleepless nights, and was definitely not a week I'd consider conducive to my overall wellbeing~ But.. In the end, if I did nothing else but try to focus, I did manage to stay on track with things, (work, Fitness classes, meal-planning/tracking, & got a few pre-spring home projects completed) all while continuing to push through & past the emotional issues & stressors~ It's also  been back to being Much colder this week, & is going to get even colder again in the coming week ahead~ So no outdoor time this past week, or walks with the furbaby~ This is the time of year that can be a little crazy as there's too much back & forth with the weather, (being cold this day, then warm the next)... So you're never quite sure what it's going to do outside (or even how to dress)?!

💘This weekend ahead, (I'm so glad to finally see it again, and Intentions are to inevitably try to relax from all the issues of the past week)... And also to get out & get in both of my Zumba classes to start each day off.... Then run the usual weekend errands & such~ And also enjoy some "Self-Love" time with a great weekend dinner, cozy evenings indoors with some movies, and prepare for the week ahead~

@PoliteOcean Sunday Leslie gave Greg a sponge bath. It was very stressful. Monday I went to the library and grocery shopping and then for a walk. Tuesday morning Greg defecated in his pants in the living room. Leslie had to clean him up. He had a hard time breathing because he has COPD and was on oxygen. He called the EMT's and they took him to the hospital. He won't be coming back. Leslie, Sifa, and Amanda couldn't stand him. He was loud, rude, and demanding. He made 3 threats of violence against me. Later that afternoon I went to the library and then for a walk by the marina. I made excellent progress on my discussion questions for Jude the Obscure. I was thinking maybe I should read it over again since having Greg here was such a huge stressor I couldn't concentrate even when at the library. If not, the next book on the list is "The Bell Jar" by Sylvia Plath. Friday Tunde cancelled. Leslie can be very rude sometimes. I find it very aggravating. 😡😡😡 Leslie's granddaughter Dahlia was crying a lot on Friday night because she missed her parents. Her parents have a very irregular schedule. It's very upsetting for a small child. It's not just an inconvenience, it does permanent damage to her psyche. For this upcoming week on Tuesday I'm going to move some of my possessions out of my bedroom into a storage facility in a nearby city. I hate living like a pig 🐷. The first year I lived with Leslie I had to keep my medication on the floor because I didn't have a dresser. One thing I learned from Leslie is you can stuff a lot of items into a small space. Leslie says if she gets a new resident she is going to put him in Stuarts bedroom. Wednesday I have a therapy appointment with Jim.

Hey Regmo, That’s good that you were able to get out to the library, grocery store, made progress with your questions, and was able to get your walks in during the week (despite Tunde having to cancel one of his days).. I think it’s a good idea about moving your things to a storage unit if you feel you can afford that? At least you wouldn’t have to be concerned with things of yours going missing again... (Although another idea could be to save that money for another possible place to live at some point to avoid the stressors of where you’re at now)? .. Just a thought…. It’s good things seem to be working out for you with Jim. Hopefully he is helping you in dealing with & providing you coping skills for the issues in your current household situation, And overall.. Thanks for sharing your week with everyone and checking in. Continue to keep us updated on things.

Uh oh! An error was encountered saving your post. (Code 064)

I checked and double checked my post for all the "things" but wasn't able to find what was causing the error....I saved it to a word file and will continue to look at it when I have time and try to find what the issue may be.....

Hey EveryoneWelcome to the weekend~... On a Scale of 1-10 (lowest to highest), How are you feeling today?... Depends on which area of life we are talking about....if you are talking about total balance in all areas I would say a 5 or 6......How did your week go for you?  This past week was good.  I started my new position and while there is a large learning curve and lots of new things, I'm really liking the change so far.....and my first official "weekend" Saturday/Sunday regular days off without using vacation or personal time in about 20 years....

💘"SELF-LOVE" Vs. "SELF-CARE"... (Both are Two very Healthy Practices for our overall wellbeing)... Do you feel that these Two phrases are the Same thing, Interchangeable, or Completely different from each other?... How would you describe or Explain, (there are No wrong answers)!  I DO NOT think they are the same thing or interchangeable.....for me, "self-care" has to do with external stimuli while "self-love" is about internal stimuli......I practice "self-care" to take care of my mental, emotional, and physical well being, but I honestly don't think I practice "self-love".....the way I talk to myself is terrible....to me, "self-care" pertains to ways to deal with outside sources and stresses, where "self-love" is more about self efficacy...and looking within can sometimes be hurtful....so while I can make myself feel better about the world and stresses around me through "self-care", I don't really know how to make myself feel better about myself through "self-love", if that makes sense.....

❄️JUST FOR FUN:.. How can you or will you provide & show yourself  some "SELF-LOVE" this weekend ahead?!  Research ways to start this process......

Hey there Cycling~

So glad you were able to figure out your post and came back to join us for this week!

It’s great that despite the rating, that your week was good for you overall.  How exciting for you that you are officially in your new work position & liking the change for yourself so far. And even more exciting to having regular weekends!

As far as “Self-love”, everyone is different. And we can definitely be our own worst critics. Or even feel we aren’t worthy of it at times.. whatever the personal situation be… But it’s great that you are making a list of sorts to work on over the course of the year… Perhaps I need to keep track of those things and make a compilation at the end of the for you to respond to and see how far you came?! 🤔🧐

Wow, great response to SelfCare Vs. SelfLove… That’s a very well-rounded and thought out answer... Which also shows how many of us differ from one another in how we see things. When I think of Selfcare I think of it as an overall experience (inside & out/internal & external) in whatever I do that’s taking care of myself and making myself feel good mentally, emotionally & physically as a whole… So your answer is very interesting & insightful! And I appreciate your share and thoughts on it! Definitely always a different way to see things from other points of view.

Thank you so much for sharing this week and checking in. And for all that you went through to join us & to be able to post! Also Glad to hear for you that the new position is going well so far. Please continue to keep us updated on how everything is going!

Hi, Ocean,

Hey EveryoneWelcome to the weekend~... On a Scale of 1-10 (lowest to highest), How are you feeling today?... How did your week go for you?  Wow, I'm feeling a 5.  I'm wiped out.  I'd say a 4 or 3, but I'm not upset.  I'm just wiped out.

☃️This is our "THIRD" Check-in for February~... With this being the shortest Month of the year, we've officially passed the "Half-way" point!... On Friday the 14th, we celebrated VALENTINE'S DAY...~ How do you feel about "SELF LOVE", What does this term mean to you?~... Do you feel this is something that you do or give to yourself when needed?!.. If so, what are some ways?!  I'm all for self love.  On Valentines day I took myself out to dinner.  I also bought myself red, pink and white tulips.  I'm trying to do this more.

Self love doesn't involve personal physical care.  Self care is physical care.

❄️JUST FOR FUN:.. How can you or will you provide & show yourself  some "SELF-LOVE" this weekend ahead?!  I don't have much time.  My semester is crazy busy.  I'll probably take myself out to dinner again.  I want a whataburger with fries and a milkshake.

☃️What were your "Highlights Or Struggles" of the week?.... How were you able to work through your challenges?!  I pretty much slept and did homework.  I had two major assignments due monday and tuesday.  I knew I had to do it so I did it.

@purpleTree4652

Hey there Tree~

I suppose having a week where you’re feeling wiped-out is definitely better than having one feeling upset.. At least when you’re wiped out, you can take some time to just rest & improve upon that feeling..

That’s awesome that you took yourself out for dinner & bought yourself some flowers!.. (Tulips are very pretty)~ Great choices in showing yourself some “Self-love” for Valentine’s day! We definitely need to do more of what makes us feel good & loved!

I think making time to take yourself out for dinner again on “any” day of the week is a great way to love yourself!.. We just got a local Whataburger here last year. I haven’t tried them personally, although I didn’t read the greatest of reviews on ours here! lol.. but I’ve seen many others elsewhere who say how great it is! And how much they love it!

Good job to you on getting in some rest outside of the homework… we definitely need to allow our brains some recovery time as well. I remember how taxing school can be… keep up the great work at taking care of yourself!

Thanks for making time to checkin this week and share with us. And for letting us know how things are going. Please continue to keep us updated!

This week I've been struggling to get my school work done because I keep getting distracted by friends and knitting.

Annddd a highlight this week is that I finished the sock I was knitting. :)

Hey there~

Despite struggling to get your school work done due to distractions, it’s good for you that you are still keeping up with socialization with friends as well as your knitting~ (Having Friends & hobbies are important too)!… So congrats on getting your sock completed!

And we hope you are able to make the time to catch up on your homework as well. Weekends can be good for that. Good luck!

And thanks for checking in to share with us. Please keep us updated on how things are going for you.
