Trouble sleeping started in the last few months.
It do not really know what happened. I have always slept well, but now I am lucky to get an hour of sleep a night. Nothing has really changed. I eat well, and am active enough during the day to be ready for sleep, but I just cannot. I have tried meditation, going to bed sooner and cooling down, even sleeping meds, but nothing works.
I've been through the same thing! I only slept a few hours (if I was lucky) during the night and no matter what I did it didn't change. I have actually heard a few people who have been through it too and I haven't heard any solutions :(
Hi @MilanoPumpkin!
I'm proud of you that you've reached out - not getting enough sleep is so exhausting. And frustrating when it seems happening without any obvious causes. It really makes life harder when it is impossible to get precious rest at night. You don't deserve these hardships, lovely.
You said that nothing really changed. Did you experience lately any stressful situations at all? Sometimes the link can be subtle.
Sending you lots of hugs, lovely!
Nothing has changed at all; no extra stress, change in habits, or mood. It is really weird.
It was the same for me! I just adapted to the little amount of sleep and eventually it went away
@MilanoPumpkin, if nothing comes to your mind regarding your life or new responsibilities or changes in your attitude, it is a signal it is related less to the external environment and more to your state of health.
Sadly, no one here on 7 Cups can give you a medical evaluation ^^; I encourage you to book appointment with your doctor who then can decide which tests to run to quickly find out what's going on. Sleep disturbance is a symptom to wide variety of causes - from problems related to thyroid or blood things to psychological ones, like anxiety or depression - and it is pointless and risky to wild guessing, without any professional background.
But know one thing, lovely: it is a valid problem. You have every reason to seek out help, because it disrupts your life. Sleep should be a source of rest and recharging, not of stress.
I find on the Internet this guide - it has various health checklist and practical tips, so maybe it will come handy for you.
I wish I'd do something more for you. Just know I'm always here to talk to you, lovely.
*hugs*
