Hi, does someone have any ideas how to have energy in the morning after a sleepless night?

There are many healthy ways that you can try to energize yourself after not getting the proper rest the night before..

Some simple ideas can be found in the following:

⭐️Starting your day off with a full cup of cold water to energize your body and cells, & get in hydration.

⭐️Starting the day with a balanced and healthy breakfast! (Proteins, healthy carbs etc..) for energy

⭐️Taking breaks when needed to balance your energy throughout the day

⭐️Taking in a “small” amount of caffeine early on if needed.. but just a small about for a quick temporary boost…. But try to avoid caffeine after 12-2pm… (depending on when you lay down at night), so that it doesn’t affect your sleep.

⭐️Getting outside into natural sunlight in the morning (& getting that needed Vit. C & D from natural sunlight)… it can help regulate your body. And give you added energy.

⭐️Taking a Walk in fresh air, or add some light exercises like stretching, yoga, etc..to help with alertness

⭐️If needed, prioritize your tasks for the day & plan for a less productive day if possible

⭐️Taking a power-nap in the early afternoon for about 20 minutes to energize yourself… but make it short. No longer than 20minutes, so that it doesn’t disrupt your sleep later on at bedtime.

Perhaps some of these ideas can be of help and work for you?!.. And of course if you’ve already tried these and they haven’t worked, then maybe seeing your physician can help to identify other possible issues that could be affecting your sleep.

Best wishes & good luck. We are here to support you.

I'm dealing with the same thing right now lol.

-put something cool/wet on your face- this can be water or some skincare

-get dressed into a comfortable power outfit and if you have long hair, pull it back

-let the sunlight in

-drink caffeine and water (but no caffeine after 3pm)

-try to eat smaller more frequent snacks today rather than bigger meals

-try not to sit down, keep moving

-write things out and break tasks down (let pen and paper be your second brain)

-listen to music

-MINT (mouthwash or candies or tea)

-reach out and socialize

-if you need a break, take a break with a low energy/effort activity

-put your head down for a 15 minute nap if you really feel delirious

-try to dress in lighter clothes to keep from getting too warm and comfortable

-plan a little treat for yourself as motivation and keeping a positive attitude, like a little snack you like or a little walk in the park

-last resort= use stress to energize you (wait until the last minute and then let the panic finally move you)

If all else fails (like I'm currently failing to summon the energy at work with a class coming in in 15 minutes and still not prepped rn lol) then just be kind to yourself. Do the bare minimum. You'll make it through the day. We'll make it through the day together.

Hiyaa, so one of the things I've been suggested for a long time was to do Yoga or Pranayama in the morning so I have more energy.

For Yoga, specifically, it is said that if you do Surya Namaskara daily after you wake up, it makes you feel more energized over time as you start practicing it.

Besides those, I'd always say if you are at all able to sleep for 8-9 hours and wake up naturally without needing an alarm, that is once your sleep is complete, you'd pretty much be wide awake.

These have always worked for me so far, but of course feel free to improvise and go with what you feel works best for you!
