How much fiber is recommended for daily consumption?

I have recently upped my fiber intake from pretty much nill to at least 15-20 grams a day. The change has been huge and I'm wondering if it's safe to go even higher...

Oh great question! The fibre guidelines really seem to vary country per country! I'm from Australia and our guidelines here as well as the NHS guidelines in the UK suggest that a healthy recommended fibre intake is around 30g per day, so that tells me you definately can go safely higher!
@romanticthi3f awesome! Thank you, I really wanted to know! :) do you get about that much now?

@softFern50
Of course! I'm glad it helped!
Honestly I'm not entirely sure! What I eat day to day is quite varied but I have a lot of fruit with natural fibres; so it wouldn't surprise me!
