Eating healthyv80% of the time while keeping everything on the menu is a great way ti find balance and moderation. Occasional indulgences unless healthy choices during the summer months. 

If the weather is hot there are tons of wonderful bbq and salad choices but I do enjoy chocolate vanilla twists on occasion and I do celebrate my family birthdays and always have the birthday cake.

  1. What are some practical ways to ensure you are eating nutritious meals for most of the week?… I like to Plan my meals ahead of time. This ensures that I’ll be prepared and stay on track. 

2. How can I strike a balance between enjoying my favorite foods and maintaining a healthy diet overall?… I like to stay on the track during the week by meal planning… & either once on the weekend OR during a special occasion, I will also plan to “treat” myself. This creates a healthy balance for me by not feeling deprived of anything. 


3.) Are there specific guidelines or tools you use to track my nutritional intake effectively?…. Yes, I do follow some guidelines & incorporate tools to ensure that I’m effectively doing what I need to do to help meet my goals. I use apps & follow up in group communities that help support my goals with like minded individuals. 


4.) What are some healthy substitutes for common unhealthy foods that you enjoy? It just depends on what I want to eat or make. But there’s always healthier options to enjoy & treat yourself. Such as Cauliflower rice instead of regular, Swap White flours for whole grains, Fruit Infused water instead of Juices & sodas etc.. fresh fruits instead of sweets. 


5.) Do you plan meals ahead to make healthier choices more convenient?.. Yes I use a tracker to plan out each day so that I can stay ahead & on top of my meals from day to day. 


6.) What are some tips for dining out while still sticking to a healthy eating plan?… My tip is that if you are trying to stay on track, not go overboard, & want to choose healthier options while eating out, is to “Look up the menu in advance”! That way you can make the smarter choices by browsing the nutritional information…. Or even bring your own salad dressings, or healthier snacks & water to the movies, etc.., or share portions, or eat half & take home the other half, or even order off the Kids menu for smaller portions….  whatever it takes to accommodate your goals.

What are some practical ways to ensure you are eating nutritious meals for most of the week?

Keep a multivitamin on the table with some pretty flowers and a beeswax candle to remind you to eat well and how healthy and worthy you are.

Stockpile organic and healthy foods like tuna, salmon, tofu, pasta sauce and grow your own sprouts and herbs. Or as much fruits, roots and leaves as possible.


How can I strike a balance between enjoying my favorite foods and maintaining a healthy diet overall?

Try put down your food/fork/spoon between each bite and chew each bite thoroughly, don't keep unhealthy food always in the house, budget, keep things near and tidy, learn intuitive eating, journal about how you feel after meals, set a goal to eat at least one healthy meal a day.


Are there specific guidelines or tools you use to track nutritional intake effectively?

Listening to my body is pretty effective and learning more about what symptom means what instead of just taking a pill to mask the symptom helps.


What are some healthy substitutes for common unhealthy foods that you enjoy?

Decaf instead of caffeinated coffee

Dandelion root instead of any kind of coffee

Whole fruit instead of jam


Do you plan meals ahead to make healthier choices more convenient?

Sort of but I also like to be spontaneous.


What are some tips for dining out while still sticking to a healthy eating plan?

Go to restaurants that do farm to table or buy from foragers or that focus on quality over quantity, bookend it with healthy meals, go with friends to prevent fast sad eating, listen to your body and bring what you can't finish home.

@SunShineAlwaysGrateful I like salads but I often wonder, you know how your mouth waters when you smell a nice juicy steak being grilled? Well I wonder if it happens to vegetarians when someone is mowing their lawn🤔🤔🤔🤔😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
