**AND ANY & ALL "NEWBIES" THAT WOULD LIKE TO SHARE WITH US
βοΈ This past week started off a little "Lazy" for me as It was a lazy New Years weekend. Yet it was a good one! But I was still a little stuck in "Holiday Mode". We had a great time Ringing in the New Year at home. And had a few of our Favorite treats while toasting in 2023. ~
π I was a little off-track to start the week off New Years Day, but it didn't take long to jump back into things. I was able to get back to all my activity & fitness classes, back to meal tracking & planning, get back to tracking water, (but my sleep wasn't as on point as the previous week), but thats ok. I will continue to work on that there. The weather again has been up and down this week, so No outdoor walks or activity again this week or with the "Furbaby". Hopefully next week. Will continue forwards this year with the Goals that I have created and set for myself. And continue with the classes and activity that I've been doing so far. Hoping to add more strength activities. And, I'd like to also travel a bit more this year, and get to the beach more often.~
π No major intentions for the weekend ahead accept to enjoy it as much as we can~ And maybe/hopefully squeeze in a Morning workout.... (And finish putting away & storing the Christmas decorations.) Its supposed to be a Really nice day out, so hoping to get out and enjoy it.
@PoliteOcean
Hi, Ocean,
1. HAPPY NEW YEAR~ How are you, & How did you Ring in YOUR New Year?! I'm worried because I need a third person to write a letter of recommendation for grad school, and I am running out of people to ask. I slept on new years eve, the best I could anyway. The fools in my neighborhood set off fireworks from 8:30 pm 'til 2:15 am.
@purpleTree4652
Hey there Tree~ Hopefully you have found (or will be able to find) your "third party" to get that letter of recommendation that you need. I know stuff like that can be rather challenging especially when its something important. Mainly because you also want to ask the "right" people as well.....My neighborhood was blowing up the fireworks also. I know that can be rather annoying.
Thats good for you that despite still trying to feel better that things went ok for you the past week. And that you were able to accomplish and get done what you needed!
@PoliteOcean
I always have a post-holiday let down this time of year. Thereβs such a huge build up to Christmas and New Yearβs Eve and then itβs all over...
@UberRuminator
Hey there Uber~ I TOTALLY get that!!. I end up feeling the same way too. You are certainly NOT alone in your feelings!.....Time just goes by way too fast when it comes to the things we love and enjoy.
I hope that you had a good holiday and New Year, and that your first week of the year was a good one for you! Thank you for stopping by to share with us. Please keep us updated on how things are going for you.
@PoliteOcean
π HAPPY NEW YEAR~ How are you, & How did you Ring in YOUR New Year?!
I'm okay sometimes...I rang in the new year by preemptively studying feng shui, motivation and healing practices then cleaning my place and moving furniture around to make it more energetically healthy.
I also went for a bike ride to a nearby cafe on the waterfront for a delicious coffee and loaf and also bought myself a bag of artisnal coffee to enjoy in the mornings by the window.
βοΈWe are now in 2023, How did your very first week of the New Year go?!
My days seem so up and down it's difficult to track; one moment I feel I'm finally onto something and the next I'm in the depths of despair.
...What was something you did for yourself this past week to start off your New Year right? π
I focused on being grateful for the basics - having shelter, a bed, food, water, air to breathe, clothes.
What are some Goals that you would like to work on for yourself and accomplish in this New Year ahead?! π
I would like to work further towards improving the energy of my surroundings.
@Dallady
Hey there~ Sounds like you found lots of lovely, therapeutic, & productive ways to ring in your New Year! Those are alot of great and healthy things that you have mentioned there for the body, mind, and soul.
And despite your feelings/emotions being up and down for you, its great that you were able to focus on being grateful through it all!... Thats really amazing.
And continuing to work on things that you enjoy and that will also help and improve your energy & overall wellbeing is a really truly great goal!
Thank you so much for sharing your week with us. And for simply letting us know how you have been doing. Please continue to let us know how things are going for you.
@PoliteOcean Hereβs how the past week went. Sunday I went for a walk through my neighborhood. I also finished my book on Picasso. It was pretty short and I didnβt learn anything. Iβm not going to keep it, Iβll probably donate it. Monday I watched the Rose Parade. Tuesday my new books arrived. I bought a book on Byzantine Art and also a history book on Late Anitquity. Tuesday morning my surge protector broke so I had no heat in my bedroom for 3 days. I also couldnβt do any reading. Wednesday Tunde canceled on me. Thursday morning I woke up screaming at the top of my lungs because I had a nightmare. Thursday, I finally picked up my laptop from the repair store. They transferred data from my old laptop to my new one. They also fixed the on/off button on my new laptop. I also went to the bank and to the hardware store, where I bought an extension cord. Thursday my surge protector arrived. Friday morning I had a hard time finding some of my old files on my new laptop, but eventually figured it out. Early Saturday morning the pain in my shoulder was excruciating. Taking Tylenol doesnβt help. Friday and Saturday afternoon I went to the library and went for a walk. These women on social media are only interested in my money, which I donβt have any. Iβm still using my 7 day prayer calendar and studying the gospel of John. For this upcoming week, I think Iβm going to try to get a haircut on Wednesday. I bought a hair growth serum but it hasnβt arrived yet. Leslie finally cleaned out the disgusting food out of the lunch meat container.
@Regmo
Hey there Regmo, its great to see you checking in this week. Nice to have you back. Thats great that you were able to get a walk in to start of your week Sunday. And that you were able to complete your book despite not enjoying it or learning much from it. Its nice that you will decide to donate it. Perhaps someone else may enjoy it better. Thats good that you were able to buy yourself some new books, perhaps you will enjoy those better. 3 Days is a long time to go without heat. Hopefully you had some extra blankets or something to help you stay warm this time of year. Nightmares are no fun. I know sometimes those can seem so real. Its a good thing they aren't. Hopefully you were able to pull yourself together quickly and get back to sleep? Thats great for you that you finally have your laptop back. And that you got things sorted out with it all. Internet scams are so crazy. I've been hearing about that alot more lately it seems. I just found out a family friend was recently almost scammed as well. People just don't have anything better to do it seems. If they spent half that time doing something more productive with themselves as they spend trying to scam someone, they might actually enjoy life better. How are things going with the Prayer Calendar? I think the last you mentioned it was before you ended up being without a laptop. So we never got to hear if it was something that was working better for you or not? Thank you for coming back to share your week with us and letting us know how things have been going for you. Please continue to keep us up to date on things. Its good that you are back.
π HAPPY NEW YEAR~ How are you, & How did you Ring in YOUR New Year?!
Hey, thanks; Happy New Year to you as well. I'm doing badly and I rung in the New Year alone with pizza and a massive cleaning where I also moved the furniture around which probably makes me the funnest most successful person on the planet. For sure.
βοΈWhat were "Highlights Or Struggles" this week?... How were you able to work through your challenges?!
Highlight: super old GST cheque was deposited. Was broke so this ruled.
Struggle: spent the whole damn c-note like the next day. Was fun but dumb.
Highlight: took myself on a mini outing to Starbucks. Tried a new drink and wrap.
Struggle: I thought the person at the till was unnecessarily morose and unhelpful.
Highlight: Went for lots of bike rides, once to a restaurant nearby for yummy food.
Struggle: back wheel hit ice patch causing ALL THE PAST LIFE FLASHBACKS.
I was fine and only slid for a hot second but dang...I don't even believe in past lives.
Highlight: Had the basics basically met - food, shelter, air, water, clothes.
Struggle: My noisy upstairs neighbor dancing eight months on my last nerve.
Highlight: Tried a Candy Cane milkshake which was freakin delicious.
Struggle: it YEETED out of my bike carrier on the way home.
Highlight: there was so much whipped cream on it was fine - it sealed the top.
Struggle: The full moon taking my already emotional *** to ANOTHER LEVEL.
Highlight: feeling better today, did some dancing and cleaning. Ate chocolate.
Struggle: Walking the knife's edge of life without RBF. Ate too much chocolate.
omg that's enough. Before I give y'all a biography.
I WANT WAFFLE FRIES
@Dallady
Hey there again Dallady... I wanted to make sure my eyes weren't playing tricks on me in you posting twice this week. I had to do a "double-take"!
Happy New Year back to you!... I think its great that you were cleaning and creating some positive energy for yourself to start the New Year off! To be honest, I did the same! I thought what better time to be "out with the old and in with ... well better"?!.. Theres nothing wrong with creating a positive and clean atmosphere for yourself. And what better time than on New years. ( A little Pizza doesn't hurt either sometimes) ;)
I kind felt similar at first for not doing something different or "More"... But to be honest, for me, nobody I knew was even planning much of anything this year. So a quiet New Year indoors it was!
Thats good for you that you seem to be on the mend and feeling better. Thanks for keeping us up to date (and sharing again)!
@PoliteOcean this week was pretty nice start to the year because it's winter break, but i'm not excited about school starting. i have some newfound motivation tho so yay~
@coolpineapple13
Hey there~ Thats great for you that the week was a good one for you to start off the New Year. Winter Break is always fun! Especially when you are out of school. π HAPPY NEW YEAR~ How are you, & How did you Ring in YOUR New Year?! - I'm doing pretty good, I brought out 2022 severely sick, what a way to release the old year and clear way for the new year! I actually feel cleared out and reset for 2023
βοΈWhat were "Highlights Or Struggles" this week?... How were you able to work through your challenges?! - I'm finally feeling a little back to normal after being sick but most important I'm feeling ever stronger
