Exciting Changes and Inclusivity Enhancements in the Playground Room 👾🌟

Dear 7 Cups Community,  

We’ve recently received feedback regarding the Playground Room becoming too formal, making some members hesitant to join. This is concerning since the room is intended to be a fun, accessible, and welcoming space for everyone. Additionally, some members have expressed concerns about the inclusivity of games and certain unfortunate situations during sessions. We hear you and are introducing changes to address these concerns while fostering a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere. 

1. Open Hosting for Everyone 👥

• Anyone in the 7 Cups community can now host sessions in The Playground room. You don’t need to be part of the Playground Team to lead activities. This will foster creativity and spontaneity in our events.
• If you consistently host sessions, we will encourage you to officially join the Playground Team to gain more support and collaboration. Only Playground Team members will be eligible to receive cheers for hosting sessions. ⭐

2. Respect for Community and Chatroom Guidelines 👨‍⚖️

• Even if you are not part of the Playground Team, it is essential to respect the community and the rules that apply to all rooms. Members that are not part of the Playground Team and want to host a session on The Playground and must ensure that interactions remain positive and aligned with 7 Cups guidelines.  

3. Priority for Scheduled Sessions 🗓️

• Sessions scheduled by official Playground Team hosts will have priority over spontaneous sessions. This helps maintain structure and ensures that planned events run smoothly.  

4. Room Availability ⌚

• Members that are not part of The Playground Team and want to host on The Playground room and participants can consult the Community Calendar to check the availability of the Playground Room for sessions.  

5. Promoting Inclusivity in Games ♿

• We recognize that 7 Cups is home to people from all over the world with diverse preferences. Some enjoy high-challenge games, while others prefer simpler, more accessible activities. 
• To address this, we will encourage hosts to conduct games that are suitable for a broad audience. These will be prioritized to foster greater participation. 
• However, we will not restrict other types of games, as variety is essential for engagement and enjoyment. In addition, restricting them could also be considered non-inclusive for members who would like to play other types of games.

6. Moderator Presence and Emergency Reporting 🛡️

• Due to previous unfortunate situations in the room, there must always be a mod present when a session takes place. 
• If the present mod is assisting in other rooms, participants can fill out the Emergency Mod Form and send private message to the Community Moderator on duty (check their schedule here). If you follow and apply these two protocols, a moderator will handle the situation promptly.  

7. Support for New Hosts and Session Guidelines ⛑️

• Community Moderators will periodically check the Playground Room to ensure that sessions are safe and within guidelines. 
• Members that wants to host but are not part of the Playground Team check must check in case of doubt game suitability with Community Moderators. 
• Hosts will be encouraged to select games that avoid potential triggers and are generally inclusive.
