Member Chatroom Rules Guide

ASilentObserver June 18th, 2021

Hi everyone, I hope you are doing well.

A couple of weeks ago it was brought to my attention that we as a community are not well aligned and synced on our chatroom guidelines and it is still confusing what is acceptable and what is not.

It is understandable because the Chatroom Guidelines tab in the room covers only broad outlines of the guidelines and not the detailed version of it. That is why to ensure all members, listeners, and leaders are on the same page related to chatroom guidelines, we redrafted and updated the chatroom guidelines guide in alignment with the current protocols and rules related to chat room participation.

Please review and let us know if we are missing anything that needs to be covered and explained.

I am grateful to you for all your support and cooperation in keeping the chat room safe, supportive and respectful for all.

A lot of the rules are sort of common sense - anything that might be inflammatory wouldn't be a good idea. I agree with all the rules - the environment should be inviting and peaceful.

@ASilentObserver Thanks for sharing this.

Thanks for all you do, to make the support rooms, safe and supportive for all.

Thanks for taking the time to make a post on the support room rules and also explaining them and offering clarification of them.

Since this post, the support rooms have improved some, but we still have a ways to go, just my opinion.

But it is better then it was, when I first started here as a listener back in 2019.

I think it will never be perfect, because for that to happen, the members and listeners, would have to be perfect.

No one is perfect, we all make mistakes, it is part of life.

But hopefully, we grow and learn from those mistakes.

That is the key here.

7cups is about growth and learning.

Those are my thoughts and opinion.

Thanks for listening and for reading.
