What's something you've done that you're proud of? :)
Having appreciation and pride in our actions and accomplishments can be a powerful motivator for positivity!

I've always wanted to write professionally, but never had the courage to try. However, recently I started writing and three of my articles were published. I would hardly consider my articles 'writing professionally' haha but it's a start. π
@Olive1Q82 Wow! That is so awesome! Congratulations!
@Olive1Q82 i have always wanted to write a book.
@Olive1Q82 beginning anything professionally can be a new and scary experience, even if it's starting small It's great to follow your ambitions. I hope in time more of your work gets published :)
What kind of articles do you write?
@KatieTheBigRockOne
That is very true. :)
I write about introversion and various topics that may interest individuals with an introverted personality type such as social anxiety, caregiving as an introvert, the benefits of online communities for introverts, etc. I recently wrote about some of the differences between introverted leaders and extroverted leaders in the workplace---how both styles are ok, but leadership style is often determined based on personality.
@KatieTheBigRockOne I've hosted chats in the Trauma room on Wednesdays. I've done three so far. I kind of feel like I'm not very good at it but I'm hoping with time it'll get easier and I'll do better :) It's pretty far out of my comfort zone and I'm usually a nervous wreck afterwards but it feels nice to offer that space for others
@mytwistedsoul Hosting chats can be so beneficial π it's difficult to begin anything and providing support under conditions and pressure like in the chatrooms can be a little daunting but your work here is incredibly important :) Time and experience provides comfortability and an opportunity to improve
@KatieTheBigRockOne Thank you π
I was procrastinating on reading. This year I read a handful of books. I feel happy about that. It's given me confidence and improved my knowledge.
@KatieTheBigRockOne
Asking for help when I really needed it even though it was scary and I felt like I didn't deserve it, and when I just wanted to give up but gave myself one last chance. One last chance turned into an extra month, with increased therapy, which tuned into an extra year with more support in place, new safety plans, and on waitlists for further assessments. Taking things one step at a time, one day at a time.. Trusting that eventually it will be better. <3
@SleepyShyCat This was beautiful to read :) Reaching out for help through fear and insecurity takes a lot. Sometimes taking a chance gives the opportunity for a lot more, I'm glad it lead to support for you. Keep your hope πthings change and improve

I'm not great at talking just in general, so a minor source of pride for me is completing a round of small talk without causing any awkwardness. It feels good walking away from a short conversation with a stranger feeling like "ayyy, look at that! I know how to socialize!" haha
