Uplifting quotes to brighten your day
Hello everyone, I was just scrolling through some posts in this positivity and gratitude community. I was inspired by the many posts various people have been posting like the reminders, positive life lessons, quotes etc. I felt like I belong here. 7 Cups is in fact a very uplifting community to be at. I am grateful for being part of this community. I am grateful for what I am doing for this community i.e spreading the message of positivity.
Having a positive mindset has changed my perspective of the world, myself and others. It has helped me build self confidence. Acceptance of self, gratitude etc.
It is a cognitive triad. What we think is what we do and how we feel. Avoidance is a very harmful coping strategy. When we think negatively such as I am not good enough, I am not a good friend, I can't do this etc, we tend to find ourselves in this negative cycle where we experience stress, anxiety, depression and the many other mental health concerns and issues.
Some of the quotes that have touched my heart are as follows:
We are often stuck in this loop of thinking negatively about ourselves, the world, other people, and the future.
Examples:
I am not good enough.(Self)
No one likes me. (People)
I can't do this.
What if I fail or do a mistake.(Future)
Why don't we stop this cycle and instead say:
I am enough.
It's not like nobody likes me. There will be somebody who can support me during this time. ------- I am going to make friends.
I can do it.
It's okay to make mistakes. I am human. Mistakes help me grow and teach me important lessons.
My aim is to help you become aware of your thoughts, feelings and actions.
Waiting for something to happen is a wrong step to take. Planning what to do and then taking the time to do it is the right way of doing something. Telling yourself that there is no time for journaling, physical activity, and other things that you find important is like one trying to avoid something. Time is in your hands. So take this as an opportunity to grow.
Reflection questions:
What is one thing you are avoiding that you wanted to do? How are you going to achieve your goal?
What are some negative beliefs you have ? Frame these negative beliefs into more positive ones.

can not think of anything we avoiding as we done many things to change our life for the better. like moving away from abusive family. facing things head on after we moved. like taking the city buses and going out alone. also starting a new church after first one did not work out after we moved. going out doing things in the community even with our social anxiety. right now coming out of being numb to feeling emotions again after long long time of avoiding them and doing things to numb that were very unhealthy too.

we been rejected for being self it happen again. we been rejected by many but not everyone will rejected us.
it not worth trusting others we will only get hurt again. the risk of trusting can go either way one will get hurt at times but many times will not get hurt it worth the risk to trust.
It's great to hear that you are taking actions for the betterment of your mental health. Taking the city buses alone is a brave action. And starting a new church seems like a very interesting thing to be doing.
I do agree with you.
We might get rejected by one or more people but that does not mean I will remain rejected for the rest of my life. And it is also important to talk to the people who you trust most.
Thank you for sharing your views on this. 😊
