12 Habits that Turn Dreams into Reality
1. Get your day off to a great start by doing the most important thing.
If we took care of the most important task of the day – often one of the more difficult ones too – right away in the morning the rest of the day would be a lot easier and lighter.
2. Just take responsibility for your actions and the process.
Taking action becomes a so much lighter activity when you only have to take responsibility for doing what you think is right.
3. Dont feel like doing it? Start small.
Just get an easy way to get started and then, when you are in motion, continue taking action for a while longer.
4. Dont hurt yourself.
Even if you think that you didn't do what feels right. Take it easy on yourself.
5. A reminder for focus.
Create a a simple reminder on a piece of paper. On it you can for example write down:
Your top 3 priorities in life right now.
Your most important goal or new habit for the next 30 days.
A motto or quote you want to stay focused on and live by at this time in your life.
6. Stay accountable to the people in your life.
An accountability buddy can help you to stay on track and to keep taking action towards your goal or dream even when the initial enthusiasm has dissipated.
7. Cycle fully focused work and fully relaxing rest.
Set the timer for 45 minutes, for example. During those minutes just work on your most important task/small step forward. Nothing else. No distractions. After those 45 minutes are up, take a relaxing break.
8. Focus more on the how to and less on the what-ifs.
If your thoughts starts spinning as you are thinking about taking action then in your mind shout: STOP!
9. People dont care that much about what you do so dont let that hold you back.
In reality people have their own things going on in busy lives. Only share with people that you know they truely care about you.
10. Tap into enthusiasm.
When you dream and when you get started with something new in life then the enthusiasm flows like a fountain.
11. Add the fun.
For example, add some music, or make things like a small game.
12. Celebrate what you did today.
Take 2 minutes at the end of your day to think about, appreciate and celebrate what you have taken action on today. No matter how small the action may have been.

5 W'S TO COPE WITH THE CORONA VIRUS (COVID-19)
During times of change, turmoil or pandemic, managing our mental & physical health is imperative. Below, is a simple reminder of 5 Ws to cope with COVID-19 today and challenges in the future. J. Grube
1. WORK IT OUT –
As many American people recognize the importance of adhering to the CDC guidelines, ACTION is key. Many people and businesses have found ways to work from home. Others may be a part of the essential, life-sustaining services whereby they are compelled to work. Either way, its imperative that you take the precautions necessary such as social distancing, washing hands, and wiping surfaces!
2. WALK IT OUT –
While at home and after work, take advantage of this time & health as you exercise at home or outside. Take your children and pets out for a hike or simple walk with a purpose - to have fun. Walking for 30 minutes a day or more on most days of the week is a great way to improve or maintain your overall health. If you cant manage 30 minutes a day, remember that even some minutes is better than no minutes!
3. WEB IT OUT –
Virtual communication and surfing the internet are safe during this time. Take the opportunity to learn about the Corona Virus (COVID-19) through the CDC and healthcare professionals. If we focus on rumor and social media sites, we may be missing the point and misleading ourselves and families. Become informed of essential life sustaining services which includes therapy with a credentialed mental health provider. Take the opportunity to utilize virtual, phone or video sessions with a Licensed Clinical Social Worker/Psychotherapist. Along with physical health, mental stability is critical!
4. WRITE IT OUT –
Writing or journaling is proven to boost your mood and enhance your sense of well-being. Journaling your feelings also helps adults and children reduce symptoms of depression. When we encourage our children to express themselves on paper and perhaps make it a fun game, youll find awesome insights from the mouths of babes!
5. WORSHIP IT OUT –
Prayer is a significant component of most of our lives. Millions of people around the world rely on faith during difficult times. The results are not just anecdotal, there is evidence that it works. Faith may be an abstract concept to some but it can lead to concrete results in mental health improvement and stress reduction. Take the time to pray with your families and God Bless America!
