Obstructions to your Happiness
Hello, Everyone! Hope you are doing great.
Welcome to the Day 3 of the "Happiness for all, Together" Event.
It always feels nice to be happy yet we aren’t happy all the time. Maybe it is because we can truly value and appreciate the positive emotions once we have gone through some negative emotions as well. It is also true that the pursuit of happiness is indeed an obstruction. If we don’t wish to put ourselves in that position, then we should try embracing each and every positive emotion we feel for as long as we can.
"Be happy for this moment. This moment is your life."
Stress, sadness, fear, anger, nervousness, insecurities, etc. are all negative emotions that obstruct our happiness and other positive emotions. There are and will always be infinite reasons that hinder our happiness and the only way we can overcome these obstructions is by making a sincere effort to feel better.
"Happiness lies in the joy of achievement and the thrill of creative effort."

Love this discussion post , thankyou ❤
I feel something that stops me from being happy is being harsh on self sometimes ....I'd certainly try to be more gentle with myself and be forgiving of self as much as I can , each day and continue to increase my happiness intake and offering others around me , the same . ❤

thank you for tagging me! I agree, being harsh on oneself can definitely stop us from being happy. I agree with what you've said, it's like that for me as well.
Question: What is stopping you from being happy right now?
Too high expectations of myself are stopping me from being happy. Also, sometimes I let others overstep my boundaries and while it doesn't usually affect me that much, lately it has been making me a bit bitter which I don't like at all. I hope I can forgive myself too and not be so hard on myself.
Hello @Sunisshiningandsoareyou
I'm glad you like the discussion. <3
I agree, being hard on ourselves can cease us from being happy. I'm glad you recognize that and are working on it now.
Stay Happy!

Dear Suni,
Thank you for tagging me in this post. I will try to answer the question given by @VerseArt, "What is stopping you from being happy right now?"
Hmmm.. I think mostly why I stop being happy because I still seek my happiness outside me and inside material things. So, when things are not going according to my plan or the way I want it, I get sad. Sounds cheap? Yeah, but I'm not gonna lie; for me, happiness means control, and often I'm trapped in this idea that says, "More money, more happiness." Maybe because I'm a single mother responsible for my daughter and my parents, I have to work hard to make ends meet and provide comfort for the people I love.
I'm a big fan of the American sitcom How I Met Your Money, and my favorite character is Barney Stinson. Oh, how I wish that someday I could say, "When I'm sad, I stop being sad and be awesome instead!" Haha just a wishful thinking 😂🙏
Stay magical,

Things that I can do to find happiness
Location: I talk to my boyfriend. I listen to music, go for walks, write, and color for happiness.

Hello @Rebekahwriter13
It is so wonderful that you have all these things to do to cease the obstructions to your happiness.
Hope you always find ways to celebrate happiness!
Question: What is stopping you from being happy right now?
Self judgement is a big barrier to happiness. The judgement has been ingrained for so long that it is sometimes difficult to separate it from the self, ie that it's not me judging myself but rather all the people in the past who have judged me and now I'm repeating it back to myself.
@VerseArt
I would have to say family stress and work stress are current barriers to my happiness.
