What is IT?

NewbWanderer April 7th, 2023

This is my second post on this site. I am not sure if this is the right place to post this. I beg your pardon if it is not. Otherwise, please bear with me!

  • What is it that you once found and felt was different?
  • What is it that you were hesitant to accept at first but accepted as being for the greater good?
  • What is it that gave you immense happiness for a short period of time and made you feel complete?
  • What is it that has challenged you so much that you want to see beyond?
  • What is it that has angered you on several occasions and simultaneously made you realize how immature you still are?
  • What is it that hurts you, but you want to know & explore it still?
  • What is it for which you want to become a better version of yourself?
  • What is it for, even though you still do fine but are not happy in the true sense of the word?
  • What is it that you don't have but for which you are grateful and still hopeful?
  • What is it in the same vein that you do not regret, but rather rejuvenation fills you often?
  • What is it that you do not or cannot control but instead want to understand?
  • What is it that springs into your mind at the thought of giving up on it?
  • What is it? Is it all the same?
  • What is it towards it—mere affection, attachment, obsession, or the thing they call love?

Let it be known (if any): what is it?

For me, such a thing or person does exist! Feel free to share your thoughts. Have a good one! Much thanks...

@NewbWanderer

  1. What is it that gave you immense happiness for a short period of time and made you feel complete?

    1. I would say it is food. Whenever I’m stressed I tend to binge eat so I try not to have snacks around me.

  2. What is it that you do not or cannot control but instead want to understand?

    1. To me it is people. It is hard to understand people at times. We are complex and that is what makes me interested in understanding others. Of course, sometimes I don’t want to understand them like when I got *** off by them.

  3. What is it that hurts you, but you want to know & explore it still?

    1. It is similar to the answer above. It would be a relationship. It could be friends, love, etc. It doesn't really matter what kind of relationship it is, you will get hurt in the process of it. Sometimes they hurt me without them knowing and I never told them they hurt. I tend to shrug it off. Probably not a good thing to do. Even though it hurts, I want to continue this relationship.

  4. What is it for which you want to become a better version of yourself?

    1. It would be myself. I want to change and I know I should but it is so hard to do so. Old habits die hard. I know I have a lot of flaws and it affects my life but I continue to do it. I told myself I would change this flaw but I never did.

  5. What is it that springs into your mind at the thought of giving up on it?

    1. Everything. There are times when I find everything pointless. Sometimes I lose sight of where I am going. I start to question myself if what I am doing is correct.

@bubbleCurrent6525 First of all, I am so sorry for such a late reply! I saw your post a couple of weeks ago. But at that time, I was about to leave, and after that, I literally forgot about it. Thanks for taking the time to share your views. I can relate to everything you wrote above (except for the first one!). I guess, overall, we (most or every one of us!) are not so different. Yes, it could be that we take a different approach sometimes to dealing with the things going on around us! Also, we should make sure that we are actually shrugging off our negative emotions instead of bottling them up, right? Lots of love... Thank you so much once again. And... I hope you are doing wonders! Take care...
