Taking time for myself

WalkingCrow August 14th, 2020

@GlenM

I have found that my favorite thing about this site is that I feel free to be positive and hurting all at once without anyone making my trauma or pain feel not valid. I don't have to play a part (victim) or (victor) Both are allowed and even encouraged to co-exist here and I find that very comforting. I hope I can slowly adjust my life outside this site to reflect that freedom of expression. I would feel so much better if I could feel this way not just here.

I am strong enough to fight through the negativity. Think positive and find a reason to smile each day.

success is a lot more like squiggly lines than a straight verticle line up.

Set smaller goals. They don't have to be insignificantly small, but there are different levels of goals. Setting smaller goals helps me keep pushing while I work towards bigger goals. Keeps me on track and in the right headspace,

To let go of someone who had hurt me, to focus on myself, and to control the outcome of my response to trauma even if I cannot control my trauma itself.

im bipolar. no matter how healthy i am and on meds with all the coping skills - which i use , there will always be lows , lowers and lil highs for me. nothing can stop them. but these coping skills can help on how much I suffer, motionally and for how long.
