This is kind of a long one, but I've always formed really strong emotional attachments to people, and it kills me inside whenever I don't get any attention from them (feels like they're completely abandoning me). I will literally waste hours sitting and staring at my phone waiting for a text or something even if I know they're busy. Today is the first day that I managed to do some productive in that situation. It still hurts, but I hope in the future I can learn to manage my irrational attachments and cope with being alone for a while!

I was reading the post from the admins for what we accomplished in April this year. I'm not sure how/why I got onto this topic from there, but according to me at least ... It is very important. Some of this is milestone material because as I am so good at suggesting to others what they might do - I need to turn it around and remind myself of these things too.

FOR EVERYONE:

Founder, administrators, ambassadors, sub-comm leaders, sub-comm team members!, listeners, members, those who have won the oh most coveted "PB award" (which I can't ever remember what it is for - except there is only one given in an entire year so many kudos!!!), the guests, those for whom "somehow my phone or my computer brought me to this page and I've no idea why ..."

... For those people who feel as though they do not belong to ANY of those groups ^above ....

AKA - For everyone!!!

"Just keep swimming! Just keep swimming! Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming!" -- a quote from Dory, a Royal Blue Tang (fish) in the Disney/Pixar animated family movie titled "Finding Nemo."

Keep breathing, dear one. Just keep breathing. (I need to tell myself that too!) Keep breathing.

Just do the next right thing. .... which is also often said as, "One day at a time" which then gets changed to, "One hour (one moment) at a time." In other words, figure out what the next step or decision is ... and just do that one thing.

Realize that doing that one right thing (if you need it to be), that CAN be "what did I do today?"

Do your best to NOT beat yourself up. The world, circumstances around you (example? COVID-19 yuk), strangers, even friends! - they beat you up enough already! Perhaps that would be an activity for you for a day - "I will go (length of time) telling myself only good or positive things." If then, you catch yourself pounding on yourself sad just say, "Well, I guess I am starting over ... as of ... now!" smiley

1. Breathe in. Breathe out. (repeat) Deep, calming breaths.

2. Decisions? To do-lists? Work? Children at home? .... One step. Just do the next right thing.

3. Be kind to everyone - yourself too!!

Friends (yes, you!) and Future friends! (those of you who I do not know yet) .... We will get through this.

It IS hard. It WILL be hard. So, let's stick together, and we'll see it through! You've got a friend in me! ~ Platy

(I really do mean that, send me a message and I can get back to you with my listener account. Take care!)

heartYou CAN do it! The quarantine WILL end, at some point. and We WILL GET TO GIVE REAL HUGS, true - you are important to me - HUGS ONCE AGAIN. For now? Patience, Kindness, and Lots of Adjustments, I think. yes
