Hmm I guess I learnt to take things as they come, set short term targets to help with the bigger picture. I've also met some really nice and understanding people here, some who have even helped me so yeah. :) Thanks.

Recently, when I was participating in a Depression Support Session, I realized that as long as you keep focusing on the negative, your life and mood will be negative. But when you realize how many things you have to be grateful for, it significantly alters your perspective on your circumstances. (: After all, it could always be worse :p

Am starting to train myself after the advise to stop creating expectations in my mind of people as leads to disappointment and brings you down. Take things as they come and learn to deal with your own reactions rather than others.

I just found this site last night and i am so happy I did the people here are so wonderful and i am learning that i am not alone in the process of healing from depression! The people are so nice and i am do glad to be here

I've learned that talking about things openly really does help. As does having someone to talk to who isn't necessarily directly involved in my life. Talking ot listeners on here helps keep me from feeling like I am a burden to my best friend who is my go to support person.
