Star Leaders Assemble ✨
Hey hey Team, I hope the title worked as intended lol, kinda like "Avengers Assemble" but make it Star Leaders for Peer Appreciation Program heh. 😛
*serious stuff*
So, I've been thinking that forums are a great place to share our thoughts, feedback, updates as it also helps in tracking the necessary information, or to refresh and/ or edit on a later date.
We do have the PA's room in our dashboard, but I feel having a place in the forums to keep a track of any important information, update, detail, suggestion would be helpful as well.
Specially after the recent post made my Fristo, that mentioned that PAs are free to act on decisions they feel would benefit the program without prior discussion or approval, I admire the faith Fristo has bestowed upon us but I also do like a sense of commitment as a team, more transparency and accountability with each other, along with a clearer communication and mutual understanding.
Going forward, we can use this thread to update/ keep a track of any changes we make or any suggestions we have for each other, or for our beloved program to flourish even more. In short, to communicate amongst each other.
We can ofcourse share our thoughts too as required on any suggestions that we consider to implement. Our common goal of spreading more smiles, positivity, inculcating a sense of gratitude and appreciation in the community should be winning always, and we indeed work together as a team to continue making it happen. ❤

(Thread only to be used by the Star Leaders of Peer Appreciation Program)
To begin with xD
Please feel free to share your thoughts on this thread too lol!
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou Awesomeee Sun. Thanks for starting this thread. I believe it will be useful for the present as well as future star leaders of the Peer Appreciation Program.
Hello @Sunisshiningandsoareyou 💛
I agree, @Fristo 😄
Another great initiative, Sun! This thread would come in handy for so many discussions and suggestions. Thank you for creating it.
And I have subscribed to this thread, but if anyone has any concerns or questions related to P&G or Appreciation Program forum, feel free to tag me in this thread or pm me. 😊
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou
Awesome, thanks Sun! *subscribes*
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou
Yes I agree Sun! It’ll be good to have a place to discuss about any updates or concerns (can be hard to keep track if them through dashboard and mails 😁). And it’s a good idea that even if we have separate areas to look over and be in-charge of, we should still have a little teamwork in case of possible changes 🌻
Hmm, I have a question that’s been in my mind for a while now. How could we approach a form response where the peer is being unappreciative of themselves? Other than declining that task?
@GloriaD
Personally, I offer empathy/validation and then an alternative point of view.
For example,
It makes sense you feel that way, it can be so difficult to see these things in ourselves- especially if we're struggling. The fact that you're here participating in this check-in (discussion, etc) actually shows a lot of (supportiveness, kindness, etc) towards yourself. It's okay if you don't have the mental resources to offer that to others right now, I'm proud of you for doing your best in offering it to yourself.
I hope I understood the question 😛 and really looking forward to seeing other's responses!
@WarmLightXO
Thanks for your input Light 😊 I was actually talking about the peer appreciation form, if someone is being unappreciative of themselves, or even others. We can combine your idea with Fristo’s idea - to PM the peer about what the form is for and why we can’t post their response 🌻
@GloriaD @WarmLightXO @Fristo
Oooh good question, Gloria, it is almost a little off-putting for someone to use the form but not say anything positive mhm, I get why this question came up and am glad you invited everyone's thoughts too.
My approach is similar to Elliot's in situations like these (mostly in chats and such, where more dialog on the same can be developed, so that gives the person a good space to share what they want to as well) but since it's one of the form responses, going by Fristo's idea sounds good too.
We reaching out to the person and letting them know what the program is about, what the form can be used for etc, along with ofcourse validating their feelings and commending them for even trying.
One that I came across recently in the dash, there wasn't a positive message per say in the space provided, but they did pick some qualities in themselves, and that's also making me wonder, if perhaps we can make a post using the qualities alone? (That is in case, there are some selected)
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou
Thats great to hear Sun, we all think similar on how to approach this situation 😊
Yes, regarding the task in the dashboard, which was in my mind as well, in case we don’t get a reply from them through PM - rather than completely declining the task (i.e. not making the post at all), we can make the post with just the qualities they listed. In case they reply there, I’m sure we can respond to them in an empathetic way, Our team is very supportive, and it comes very naturally within us 💛 And we can do this for other similar posts, if they occur 🌻
@Fristo @WarmLightXO @VerseArt
@GloriaD
Yes, it's been three days and they haven't responded 😮
@GloriaD sounds perfect!
@Fristo @VerseArt @GloriaD @WarmLightXO
Aren't yall the bestest ever! ❤ I'm so proud of the team we have. Yay *you*. 🥳
Quick update, team.
I edited the feedback form for us, some rephrasing, space for username, another reason for giving feedback, and an additional assurance to reach out to any of us anytime. ❤
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou
Thank you Sun, that’s good 😊
Another quick update hehe! We now have a feedback space for our chatroom hosts! ❤ I think they deserve all the recognition and appreciation for their work, and here's a small way to honor them.
Any thoughts/ suggestions/ feedback, anyone?❤
Please do feel free to update this thread, with more feedback as we receive them in future.
I'm thinking we can do monthly or bimonthly posts in the feedback thread? :o (or when a considerable amount of feedback is collected?)
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou I am thinking 😯 Can we make it a one-stop feedback thread for any team to share the appreciation hosts receive across teams through the host feedback form? It will be up to the various team leaders to use the thread or not, but we can at the least, invite them! A single host appreciation thread could spread a lot of positivity in the community.
@Fristo
Sounds good, Fristo, about posting feedback once a while, and ofcourse if things speed up, we can become more often with it!
Thankyou haha, I'm happy to contribute where I can. I'm glad to have y'all amazingly supportive team mates, who are ever so encouraging and reciprocative! ❤
About making it a one-stop for feedback thread, I like the idea, it may also encourage cross-co-hosting within different sub-communities and different types of sessions, I feel, hopefully hehe?
Most teams do have their own individual threads and means to communicate feedback, but we can ofcourse extend an invite to the leaders, if they prefer to use anytime. Feel free to convey the same to them, if you want! 😃
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou
Good ideas Sun and @Fristo!
Maybe we can check the host feedback once a week (eg. every Monday). Will you be doing the feedback posts Sun? If we all will be contributing, then we’ll have to find a way to see whether a feedback is already posted or not 🌻 Also, thank you for posting the host feedback, it brought many smiles 😁
Yes ... We can invite other projects to post appreciation here in the host feedback appreciation thread - Those who like it, will use it and find it helpful 😊 And maybe this thread can encourage projects to host together, we will just have to try to find out 😉
@GloriaD
Aw yes I know right, reading positive feedback is always gratifying, specially for new hosts it feels so good to hear that participants loved attending the session. (Lol not just new, I bet anyone and everyone loves to receive positive feedback for their time and dedication), I'm glad this could bring more smiles to our lovely smile spreaders, thankyou for being so appreciative and supportive always, Gloria. ❤
Checking the feedback sheet once a week sounds good.
Aw yes, I'm happy to post the feedback, when I can (currently not very sure about a regular posting due to time constraints though), which is why collaboration sure sounds good lol, any of us can post the feedback anytime, either of us is able to. I liked the "adding date" part in the feedback, while making posts, perhaps this could help in letting the other leaders know that the feedback till a certain day has been posted, so they can now post the latest ones?
Or maybe the leader who last posted the feedback till a certain date, could add a comment in the sheet itself, so everyone would know?
How does this sound?😮
I agree, we can only try it to find it. Great suggestion by Fristo!
@GloriaD
Yay thankyou and glad the idea to add dates seems good. 🌻
Oooh yes a colour code would be much better. Love this suggestion, thankyouu, Gloria! I'm unsure how to add colors though :o please feel free to add them, if anyone can! 😅
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou
I will update the colour of the rows now, then I can put a comment on how to do it too 😊
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou Once in a while sounds good! As new feedback accumulates, we can make new posts in the Appreciation the Hosts thread! We can make it frequent too, and post the appreciation as it comes, depending on our enthusiasm to post the feedback and spread the love.
Awesome work, once again, Sun! Lately, you've been making me more and more happy through efforts such as this hehe Keep being you and more you!
Just keeping this here lol- shortened link for the peer appreciation form: https://tinyurl.com/PeerAppreciation
Hey hey fellow stars, after a recent mention of encouraging more self-appreciation in the community, by StargirlTina in the Peer Appreciation Team Communication and Outreach thread, I'm thinking if we can have a separate thread for posting only the Self Appreciations? (We'll still be using the peer appreciation program thread as per usual for appreciations involving "peers" ofcourse)
Having one place for all the self appreciations may help to encourage others also, to appreciate themselves? Perhaps we can occasionally set the thread as alert as well.
What do y'all think?
@fristo @GloriaD @WarmLightXO
I like this idea, a special spot could make people feel in company and not called out for appreciating themselves.
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou
I agree with you Sun, @StargirlTina and @WarmLightXO ! Dedicating a thread for self appreciations may help make it easier to openly appreciate ourselves, and motivate many others to do so 😊 We currently have a peer self appreciation thread I think, maybe once we create a self appreciation thread in general, we could post team members self appreciation in that too 🌻
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou Would it mean that we'd post peer to peer appreciations in our program thread, while self-appreciations (submitted through the peer appreciation form) will be posted in a different thread?
Want to make sure I am getting it correctly😀
If so, then we will have sort of two program threads and that might confuse team members about which sort of appreciation to post in which thread. One program thread keeps it simple (has kept it simple and non-confusing so far.)
But I also love the idea of encouraging self-appreciation more! One idea is, that we can mass tag self-appreciators of a month (every month), along with asking them how is their progress with regard to developing self-love within themselves! This could be a separate thread and we post there monthly.
@Fristo I think I agree with you Fristo! That's a wonderful idea. A list of self appreciators at the end of every month or week would be really awesome, with some pop up quizzes and asking them their progress! 🧡🦋 Maybe we could even ask more people, who haven't filled out the Peer appreciation form for themselves, to join too! What does everyone else think about this?
