What helps you stay positive in the face of adversity?

Knowing what I'm doing is making a difference in people's lives. When things look bleak and I think I'm not going to win this one, I redouble my efforts to make a negative into a positive not just for me but for the person who is depending on me to keep them going. And when I think there's nothing more I can do I reach down inside myself and find that one last option that has slipped my mind in the chaos of doing my job. It makes my day and keeps me going when I can do this.

Visualizing the bigger picture. Bearing the hardships of today means expecting a better future tomorrow
