Animal therapy.

Throughout my life, the #1 tool I use to cope with anything--from anger to depression to grief--has been through interaction with my pets, a roommate's pets, or by volunteering at a local animal shelter. It's very soothing to be able to pet a cat & have it purr & cuddle with you & listen to you. As I've mentioned elsewhere, the #1 target of my anger is myself. Cats, dogs, guinea pigs, rats--my pets don't judge me. And for that, I'm grateful to all the pets I have had, the guinea pig I have now, & my roommate's cat.

@optimalrest I wish I could have an emotional support cat. I already have a 12 week old kitten who responds to my emotions butmy parents are taking him to the shelter Tuesday
