I use ibuprofen, but it can only do so much.  I am on birth control pills to help with the bad symptoms, but they only do so much.  Any suggestions?

I use Tylenol. Warm packs on your uterus area maybe? <3

@purpleTree4652 I go "strict vegetarian" 5days or a week before the-big-red ...when my body has less meats "cycling around" I take less ibuprofen

...only noticed I NEED to cut down after the meds destroyed liver (gain weight) to know taking meds 12 times each year (even just tiny doses) has creepingly destroyed ..going "meatless" the week before means no pain. Sometimes cutting down to "no milk(dairy), no meat" helps too...I know painkillers are marketed to be "safe" but no one talks about how it destroys liver (even in small dosage) so I hope u figure a way out! Being women is powerful even if we are "pushed down", dont be silenced, Rock on!

I never knew cutting out meat might help... Thank you! <3

But wouldn't it make it so you have less iron in your body? I take iron supplements when I'm on my period to try to help the intensity.

@jesusredeemedme2425

yeah, im big on woofing down kelp, seaweed, red meat (beef) after "the-big-red" that is...like..replenishing

but prior, the week before (or days) I kinda "trick" the body ("see, no meat...nothing here...no pain please") it works

but of course (it may sound impossible) but a body may differ from another..so possibly works differently

My boyfriend doesn't have personal experience in that area, but he made me make him a list of things I need/like on my period, like special comfort foods, pads, etc., so he knows how to take care of me <3 He's the sweetest!! <3

How are you feeling?

Somewhat better now, D... It's the escapism.

So much has been written about social media & its bad effects. Most of it is true...but every so often, binging on YT can do wondrous things.

@slowdecline48

I find 7Cups to be a great escape too ;)

purpleTree4652 OP March 11th

@slowdecline48

What is YT?

slowdecline48 March 11th

@purpleTree4652  YT = acronym for YouRube. (7Cups will not allow the proper name of the media platform)

@jesusredeemedme2425

It’s a preventative protective measure to make sure users remain anonymous; for instance, if there was a troll on cups wanting to expose a user’s socials, the measure would prevent the troll from being able to say “Hey everybody go check out this YT channel! Here’s their name. Now dislike all their videos!”

I feel you…I’m expecting my period in a couple of days and PMS has been kicking me around like a soccer ball.

I often take fennel and fenugreek tea during my time of month, and it helps with the cramps somewhat. I like having them alongside cinnamon, ginger and honey cookies. 🍪🍵🫖

They sure don’t; my roomies are guys (my bf and my male bff respectively), and they always get worried when I start PMSing. Honestly I have gotten into the habit of texting them “Yo I’m still alive; just trying to sleep off the pain” so that way they aren’t alarmed when they come home to see me passed out on the couch in a pool of my own blood 😂

You can use cumin seed water.

Would that be hard to swallow, with the seeds?
