Riddles!
This topic is about short riddles, because not everyone likes to do the larger logical puzzles. If you do like those, then click here.
If you've guessed the riddle, you can immediately post another one yourself. Let's keep it going.
I will start with this riddle:
What is easy to get into, but hard to get out of?
You are in a jungle and you come across a lion and a jaguar.
You have a gun but there is only one bullet left. Which one do you shoot?
@DarkWolf jaguar cause There are no lions in the jungle just in savannahs besides lions are just the sleepers most of the time the lionesses hunt and the lions just sleep and wait for food and reproduce.
Also jaguars are relentless hunters. They'd stalk till you're dead. Killing the jaguar is in your best interest but I'd rather injure it not fatally but enough to leave me alone so I can escape.
I hope Noone minds, but I have a riddle...if that's ok.
On the way to the city, I met a man and two women. Each woman held a basket, in each basket was a cat, with each cat was 4 kittens.
How many legs were on those going into the city?
@ggb2816
Your own two? Since it's quite likely you meet that man and woman cause they are going in the other direction, not towards the city .
@DarkWolf
That's right!!!
You can see me in water, but I never get wet. What am I?
@DarkWolf You are yourself.
I mean you can see you. My brain is not working today.
@AmalieAnne
That's right, it's your reflection.
@DarkWolf reflection was the word I was looking, silly brain
@DarkWolf I knew it 😊
@DarkWolft the sky??
A man was found dead in his study. He was slumped over his desk and a gun was in his hand. There was a cassette recorder on his desk. When the police entered the room and pressed the play button on the tape recorder they heard: "I can't go on. I have nothing to live for." Then there was the sound of a gunshot. How did the detective immediately know that the man had been murdered and it wasn't a suicide?
@blackSnowflake25 caz the tape stopped soon after the gun shot?
@warmPillow91
That is correct.
Also, the tape was rewound by someone. So it couldn't have been a suicide.
Good job
Hercule Poirot Detective reviewed the information they had on the case so far.
A lady named 'monica' was found shot and Hercule already had a list of suspects : rooney , torres , dabid , messi , ronaldo
Killer is a fan of Hercule and chalenge him by leaving notes at various places.
# The first was found in a drawing room.
# The second was found in an art room.
# The third was in a bed room.
# the fourth in an ice-cream room.
# The fifth at the desk room
All of the notes read the same thing, 'The clues are where you find the notes.' Still , nothing was found anywhere.
Hercule Poirot pause for a moment and den arrested the killer. Who was the killer ?
@DarkWolf huh? I can see something but...it does not make sense. Is the order of where the notes were found important?
@AmalieAnne
Sorry for the bad english in the riddle by the way, I did copy it from another riddle site. But yes, where they were found + the order in which they were found are important.
@DarkWolf
Sir arrest Dabid at once!
Plus I would really like an ice cream room, that sounds interesting.. and yummy
@AmalieAnne
You are right! And yes, I'd like that too
@DarkWolf If we had one I would just live in it.
The store room of your house is locked with a certain lock that can be closed without a key but requires a key to open which you own (there is no duplicate key). You decide to move your old stuff in the storeroom. After keeping the things carefully, you lock it back again perfectly. The next day, a dead body is found in your closed store room. Since only you have the key to the store room and you live alone, the police suspects you as a murderer. You can
@DarkWolf
The murderer could have replaced the lock with an identical lock while I was in the store room, and I would have closed it without noticing anything was amiss. And then later, the murderer would have dumped the body in the store room and put on the original lock ???
What is a pirate's favorite letter?
@LifeCoach18
RRrrrrrrr?
@LifeCoach18 But surely, it's the C!
First time doing one, this is from an old book of riddles. So I will give it a go.
Riddle: What is that which, while it belongs entirely to yourself, is yet used by others than by you?
