Riddles!
This topic is about short riddles, because not everyone likes to do the larger logical puzzles. If you do like those, then click here.
If you've guessed the riddle, you can immediately post another one yourself. Let's keep it going.
I will start with this riddle:
What is easy to get into, but hard to get out of?
My first is on or under the table,
my second is a kind of grain,
my third is what all men desire,
my whole is one of the United States.
What am I?
@DarkWolf must end in ...sin or ...land but I ran through the united states none of them fitted...
@DarkWolf I'm saying (my husband and I actually) Tennessee.
10 fingers or toes above below table
GRAIN????
and all men want to "see" ther future
@Lifer might just be the one...ness the coffee grains😉
@Lifer ness may mean sand ( a type of grain)
@Butterflee That's great to hear! Fingers crossed. I do my best work brainstorming with others.... Thanks butterflee
@Lifer I hope you nail this one team (you and your husband😉) it's too much for me to figure on my own...tried states in UK but nothing😂...so far you fitted two wirds nicely ten and see
@Lifer
Very nice idea lifer.. very well thought out! But It's not the correct answer to this riddle.
I'm gonna say it's quite a hard riddle (again), and I'll give a hint. The second is 'rye'. If more hints are needed, I'll give them
@DarkWolf
Additional hint: Both 'first' and 'third' in the riddle start with the letter M. That might help a bit
@DarkWolf this is going to be like when you lost something: we will find the answer when we no longer think about it😂
@DarkWolf Matrymony is a "united state". Money is what men want.
@DarkWolf matrimony?
@Butterflee
Matrimony is correct! Nice
@DarkWolf i want torun circlss like a happy dog 😂😂😂
@Butterflee thank you for the clues Wolf and I thought of @Lifer and her husband and I forgot to relax my mind, then I lit a cigarrette and it suddenly dawned on me..."united state"...
My first is a weapon used in war, my second lives in the sea, my whole is a species of fish found in warm climates. What/who am I?
What can pass in front of the sun without making a shadow?
@DarkWolf the breeze on the beach...
@Butterflee
Yes, 'the wind' is right
@DarkWolf thoigh you can see the shadows of the debris in wind😉
My first descends, my second you often ascend, and my whole is the name of a place. What/who am I?
@DarkWolf down under mate 😉 😂😂
@Butterflee

@Butterflee
Ohoh 😁. Thats cool about the old book.
My heart is empty
Yet I am a bond
I conjure up memories
Yet I am a clear sound
What am I?

@DarkWolf sigh (this is a hard one again..)
@DarkWolf vow?
@Butterflee
That's not it either.
@DarkWolf grrrrr😣
@DarkWolf word (it has no heart, letters in the middle, creares memories, is a bond and a clear sound)
When bright its dark,
When darkest, it's gone.
Who am I?
@kaibagirl The moon?
Spill me and you die, drink me and you puke
You can give me to a friend if you know our last names
