A psychology professor shared this quote to me and it stuck through the years. It's well reserved for people who create their own drama, design a huge mess, then decide that they are free from any sense of accountability or responsibility and expect you to fix it for them while they run away leaving you holding the bag. The quote reminds me that I'm responsible and accountable for the situations in which I place myself in and I shouldn't expect anyone else to clean up after my poor decisions. Therefore, it is important to make good decisions to avoid the mess in the first place.
