Let's start with a logic puzzle! Which square fits in the last grid?

Here's a more tricky version of this puzzle, can anyone figure it out? πŸ’‘

@DarkWolf - yes that sentence I screenshotted seems blocked by some force of 7Cups, censor or other...

DarkWolf OP July 23rd, 2023

@cloudySummer

Some combination of words can also be censored because they might be ''unhelpful'' when used in a slightly different context. But censoring things can easily lead to helpful messages being censored too, because in language there's so many possibilities. If you think your message is actually not breaking any rules, it can help to just re-write the message and it will likely let it through.

cloudySummer July 23rd, 2023

@DarkWolf Yes, of course, I know. Would be easier if they told us what it was that is causing the problem. Sometimes, I've spent 10 minutes rephrasing until I finally found the thing that was the reason.

I don't think frustrating people is the purpose, so I do screenshots now. Let them censor away whatever they believe make sense... I don't have enough time to play this game.

@DarkWolf

39 squares

Barltik2065 July 24th, 2023

@DarkWolf

The answer will require an odd number because the whole block is a square.
I theorize:

16+4+8+2+4+6+1 = 41
you have the 4 squares by 4 = 16
you have the 2 squares by 2 = 8
3 square by 3 = 6

middle section
1 + 1 = 2
the four singles in each group = 8

I didn't count correctly. It's is 40, but if you consider the word "Square" to be a Square as well.. then it's 41 :D

Barltik2065 July 24th, 2023

@BrightIndigo
could be potential 46 in hind sight of my post

DarkWolf OP July 24th, 2023

@BrightIndigo

If it was a riddle the answer would probably have been 41, but as a logic puzzle it's 40 πŸ˜‚

Thank you all for your participation, the correct answer is indeed 40!

If you didn't get them all, this might be a good image to visualize the answer.

Ahhhh I see where I went wrong it was with what is counted as 4 which cancels the "odd" with number 1. Two odds equals and even.

Cool!!! Love it!

@DarkWolf It's not a complicated answer, so maybe not the 'right' one - but F doesn't have any dark dots in the rear of the 'boat body'. So that is an option.

3 replies
DarkWolf OP July 25th, 2023

@cloudySummer

F is the right answer! πŸ‘Œ Because:

A is the same as D

B is the same as E

C is the same as G

Unless it's a typo, make sure you do change a letter in each word. So ''out'' has to be something else, like ''put''.

Still, well done!

Maybe TAP as it's the only word that can be spelt backwards and make sense

2 replies
DarkWolf OP July 26th, 2023

@lazyKatz

Tap is the correct answer πŸ’‘

But can someone find out why it is? Hint: there's a way to match shorter words to the longer ones.

1 reply
cloudySummer July 28th, 2023

@DarkWolf Now that you say that... letters 2,5 and 7 in the long words seem to create the short words. Haven't tested it with all of them, though.
