Let's start with a logic puzzle! Which square fits in the last grid?
Here's a more tricky version of this puzzle, can anyone figure it out? π‘
@DarkWolf
Husband thinks it is 1826 as it is the only one that appears in a 24 hour clock.
@lazyKatz Couldn't post my reply for some reason... , see screenshot.
@cloudySummer
Yes! I see that now, so strange can look at the same thing and see completely different things.π
@cloudySummer
If you want I can report it for you, is it still a problem?
@DarkWolf Haven't tried posting an identical reply, but I can do that again...
@DarkWolf I'd call it a flock. But there's no option for it, so π ...
How many squares can you count in the image below?
@DarkWolf I count 36
Oh, correction. 40.
@DarkWolf
39 squares
@DarkWolf
The answer will require an odd number because the whole block is a square.
I theorize:
16+4+8+2+4+6+1 = 41
you have the 4 squares by 4 = 16
you have the 2 squares by 2 = 8
3 square by 3 = 6
middle section
1 + 1 = 2
the four singles in each group = 8
@DarkWolf
I didn't count correctly. It's is 40, but if you consider the word "Square" to be a Square as well.. then it's 41 :D
@BrightIndigo
could be potential 46 in hind sight of my post
@DarkWolf
This is definitely proving to cause lots of interest
@lazyKatz
That it has ;)
Husband thinks it is 34 and I thought 31
@lazyKatz @cloudySummer @BrightIndigo @Barltik2065
Thank you all for your participation, the correct answer is indeed 40!
If you didn't get them all, this might be a good image to visualize the answer.
@DarkWolf
Ahhhh I see where I went wrong it was with what is counted as 4 which cancels the "odd" with number 1. Two odds equals and even.
Cool!!! Love it!
@DarkWolf It's not a complicated answer, so maybe not the 'right' one - but F doesn't have any dark dots in the rear of the 'boat body'. So that is an option.
@cloudySummer
F is the right answer! π Because:
A is the same as D
B is the same as E
C is the same as G
@DarkWolf
Cattle
Scathe
Locate
Muscat
Making xyz = cat
@lazyKatz meow!
@DarkWolf
Put on ice
@lazyKatz
You beat me LOL
Good JOB!!!
@DarkWolf
Maybe TAP as it's the only word that can be spelt backwards and make sense
@lazyKatz
Tap is the correct answer π‘
But can someone find out why it is? Hint: there's a way to match shorter words to the longer ones.
@DarkWolf Now that you say that... letters 2,5 and 7 in the long words seem to create the short words. Haven't tested it with all of them, though.
