@mylifeaseva Age is valuable and chronically ill doesn't mean useless.

powerfulCamp1207 July 25th, 2016

Being silent doesn't necessarily have to mean that I don't want to talk with them

I wish I could tell everybody that depression and anxiety are true medical disease. They do not have an "easy fix". Someone can not "wish it away" by ignoring them, working harder, or thinking "positive thoughts".

Any and all mental health diagnoses, depression, anxiety, bipolar, schizophrenia, disociative identity disorder among others, must be treated as such, a disease.

Treatment includes counseling, medications, life style changes and lots of determination. Not everyone will require intensive treatment on a long term basis. Some may manage their disease on a day to day basis without it being apparent to the outside world. This does not minimize the disease process and its effect on day to day life.

i wish that i could tell everybody that just because you see me smiling, doesn't necessarily mean im ok. it sometimes means i'm trying really hard not to break down.
