What's something you've really been into lately?
(Hobby/art/collection/activity)
@genericbeing drawing😁
@Tinywhisper11 Wow I love those, especially the guy and the lower one
@genericbeing I got the feeling back in my upper left body, I've really missed not doing art. So I'm making the most of it😁 thankyou ❤
@Tinywhisper11 That's fantastic the feelings back, I was worried when you said it was paralyzed
@genericbeing I can handle being paralysed from the waist down. But when I lost my upper left side, I was pretty upset, I couldn't do anything🙁 but I got the feeling back in my upper left side so I'm all good now😁😁😁
@Tinywhisper11 That's great, I can imagine that was very hard, but I didn't want to worry you by letting you know I was worried too, I now sometimes its best to pretend like nothings wrong even if it is. Like my thing with snow, I will hide and try to ignore that its happening until it goes away, and I feel normal again.
@Tinywhisper11

@Athena108 ❤❤ thanks Athena ❤❤
@Tinywhisper11
i looooove your style
@Heather225 thankyou ❤ hugs you tightly ❤
@genericbeingI've been doing AI art recently
@genericbeing ohhhh they are soooo pretty😍😍
@Tinywhisper11 Thanks, I'd like to live in a place like that someday :)
@genericbeing the surroundings are perfect, but it's a bit big for me, I'd like a pretty cabin with just one floor and a big porch😁❤
@Tinywhisper11 I like a big porch too, so you can be outdoors all year round. I want the second floor for like storage space so you can use the first floor to the max. And I like the surrounding forest for hiking on paths, seeing animals, and for doing outdoor movies on a giant projector screen in the trees.
@genericbeing
To my own surprise, boxing. I started practicing with my best friend, who has been boxing for two years now and suggested it might be fun for me. The moment I tried it, something clicked. Might sound bizarre, but it just seems like something I was meant to do.
I am already kind of strong, and learning how to utilize that force is something amazing.
It is very stress relieving, and it fills me with adrenaline, which makes me feel alive. It also makes me feel that in a case of danger, I could defend myself and my loved ones.
While right now it's intimidating to go against anyone else other than my friend (who is going pretty easy on me 😅), I'm training to improve my defense and reflexes so I can perhaps join a boxing afterschool activity in the next school year.
@Echolokacia wow! Boxing is a cool thing to get into ❤ when your able to fight back against others, gimme a call, I need a bodyguard😁❤
@Tinywhisper11
Will do 🫡
@Echolokacia If you want to develop your combat ability, boxing is a good foundation. It's not the final word (no kicks, no groundfighting, no weapon skills) but it's a great start. You'll develop endurance & speed, which are as important as strength. (Endurance may be slightly more important, depending on the situation) Try not to get too "ring-bound" in your training...real confrontations usually happen on the street, in bars, anywhere you're likely to run into a human predator.
Also - once you have some basic fistic combinations down & can last a couple minutes in the ring with someone other than your friend, start putting in "non-standard" strikes when hitting the heavy bag: elbow strikes, chancery, forearm strikes, eye pokes, etc. Elbow blows are really good because you can launch them fast, they pack a wallop & they can be difficult to defend against. Don't forget knee strikes!...if you hit an attacker's groin with one at the right moment, that may well end the fight right then & there.
I wouldn't call it a "hobby", but lately I've been making handles for some files I recently bought. These aren't "typical" files...they're for sharpening saws. Thinking I need to refine the handles slightly. They're not worth a lot of work but I want to use the whole blade--all the teeth--of each file as much as possible. The front ends of the handles as they are now may get in the way.
@slowdecline48 So you're like making saws? If I read this right.
