Unwritten rules in your family?

Hi all! Families are complex, they have many similarities and differences. Your family may not be like your neighbors and similarly, the values and rules in a family tend to differ.
What is an unwritten rule in your family, what happens if it is not followed?

@Hope
in our family its supper important to always maintain a level of boundaries when talking about things, we never over share, I think if someone were to over share or ask too many questions it would just create a lot of tension and unease.
Awesome question hope !

I agree. I try to stress this is my family - give a high level story, but don't get into all the deep details on certain things because it can (and does) cause a lot of stress.

The number of people = the number of rules, if you want to get along. Some rules are the same for everyone, however. An example is that no-one yells at anyone else.

It's more like they follow no rule, then one of us does something stupid, they create a rule, then again one of us breaks it, we amend the rule, and then finally settle with no rules again lol😂
