Not feeling like a „woman“ in/after recovery

sociableSpruce9018 July 7th, 2022

Hey guys, i‘ve struggled with various forms of disordered eating and eating disorders and the latest was anorexia. I‘m currently 5 months in recovery and am doing pretty good. I have gained weight since then, but i still don‘t weigh as much as i did before. I guess i should tell you that before anorexia i kind of had the idealised western body. I had hips, a nice butt, a small waist and „normal“ boobs. But now i don‘t have any of it. So i kind of feel stuck in between. Because i have gained too much weight to feel like i am this skinny ideal i was dreaming about when i was anorexic but i have not enough weight to be the woman i was before again. Does anyone else have this problem? I feel like nobody understands why it means so much to me to have breasts/a butt again.

@sociableSpruce9018 I am a male and I do not have this issue.

However, there might be others at 7cups, who have.

I would suggest, that you might want to come to the support rooms here at 7cups. In there members support each other, and some come looking for support.

I hope this is helpful.
