Ashamed of wasting money on binge food

holdingtohope October 3rd, 2021

Hi, I’m having a pretty rough weekend. I feel ashamed of the amount of food I’ve been eating, but even worse, I feel ashamed of the amount of money I have spent on binge food and drinks.

I’m trying to be more financially responsible but these dats I literally wasted a ton on this.

I already reached out to a therapist but I don’t know when they’ll have open spots yet.

Has anyone felt this way?

All the time. I will even try stashing food for later right after buying food because I will say I will want x for later. So I spend way more than I should to feed a habit that isn't helping me

I can relate to that! In bad times I make a great plan for the food I will need for x amount of time, buy it, sometimes happens and I end up eating it all. Then right back at buying more food and wasting more money.

Thanks for replying! 🤗 good to know that we’re not alone 💕

@holdingtohope I feel ashamed of that too, even if I just occacionally binge. BUT! One thing that is helping me to not spend money on bingeworthy food is to eat a full meal before doing the grocery shopping, and then don't buy the food you will binge on. Helps a lot as you won't have the food you binge on in the house :)
