Ways to relieve pain

NordligSno September 25th, 2017

I do realise that most here struggle with mental disorders that that's entirely fine, but this is more focused for physical pain (I'm sorry!).

I was curious of various ways to relieve pain, and I hope it'll help some people out there who are letting the pain override their lives.

Currently I'm on [Edited by vivelespatates for mentionning meds/drugs names] 2 times a day, I'm on [edited] twice a day aswell as [edited] & migraine savers.

But as for alternative medicine, my grandfather recently gave me these pain relieving bandaids which are filled with various herbs. I used it on both of my hips and the pain was hard to notice so I wonder if it's worth looking more into, I'm going to test them more as time goes.

I know people have success with acupuncture, but is there anybody here that's find it helpful at all or have found any other effective ways?

hey @NordligSno, I'm very sorry that you are in pain. I know how difficult it must be. The ways to reduce or control the pain varies depending of the type of pain you are experienced and their causes. I hope you can find things that work for you.
i know the meditation and relaxation can sometimes help, as well as hypnose, and adopt more healthy food habits, get the help from a chiropractor or medications, etc. warm/cold therapy may also help depending the type of pain. fasting under medical supervision may be interesting in some specific cases. Alternative medecines are often wonderful too. There are many ways, but its important to discuss them with a professional before to try them.

Note: I edited your posts for mentionning specific medication names, since it's not allowed by our community guidelines. [forum guidelines, rule #6], more specifically, it's ok to say "I'm take pain meds", but not the specific names or quantity.
