Do you have a model?

vivelespatates February 17th, 2017

The importance of diversified models is often emphasized, and while progress is slow and laborious, there is always an incrase of models for gender, sexual orientation and cultural diversity. The same can not be said of people with disabilities who, in addition to being largely marginalized, have virtually no model to relate to.

This is a very good question that I have actually been thinking a lot about lately. I do not have models in my life to look up to. I think having some would give me motivation and direction in my life and find it possible to see a future that is bright with potential and possibilities for fulfillment and happiness <3

@vivelespatates, although his condition is different and arguably more difficult than mine, my (celebrity) role-model is the one and only Nick Vujicic (pronounced VooeyCheech).
