Listening - One Step At A Time!
I hope everyone is well. I have had quite a rough start to the week. Not only is my health declining each month but life events keep happening one after another. I am a service dog handler and I have a prospective puppy in training with a program. A decision I regretted immediately after signing the contract. Well fast forward 5 months and I now need to pull my dog from the program because I can’t afford it. The trainer says i need a 60 day notice and to pay the entire training costs upfront ($6500). That is in no way possible and adds to my stress levels so much! If i can barely afford the 400 dollar monthly payments, I don’t understand how she expects me to cough up 6k. My puppy didn’t even start PA or task training. Just basic obedience so I should have to pay the full fee if she isn’t trained. However I signed a contract and understand it was written in plain sight. I guess I’m just stressed that I have to surrender my puppy due to money issues. And I’m always worried I won’t have a service dog in time for when my current one retired. Better days are ahead though and I’ll keep my head high.
@meekRedWarlock I am sorry things aren't going the way you want them to. I think it is amazing though that even though you are worried you are trying to keep a positive outlook. Not everyone can do that!
I'm doing alright this week. Days goes by and it's been hot. I finally got appointment time to hospital, but sadly it's school day that makes it little bit hard since my school is in another town and hospital in city, but I will go.
Hello @TomatoEmi. Thanks for sharing with us! It is definitely hot everywhere right now I believe (at least in parts of USA it is). I'm glad you finally got an appointment. I understand how hard traveling to appointments are while trying to stay up on class work. I wish you all the luck in the world with your appointment!
