Find A Friend

littlestolive March 21st, 2015

Let's play Find A Friend! Post your first name, one hobby, and one random fact about you! Also post two qualities you look for in a friend! If you feel you match someone's else's qualities, reply and say hi to your new friend! :)

I'll start: My name is Olivia. I have really been into crocheting lately, once I have free time from schoolwork. A random fact about me is that I have been to tons and tons of concerts and get super crazy about them, even though I'm naturally shy. It's like it brings out another side of me. Two qualities I'd like in a friend are that they must be able to geek out with me to music, and they must love dogs!

Who's next?? :)

Hi I'm new to this app. I suffer from depression, anxiety, ocd, and panic disorder. But I don't let that define me. I love reading a good book, seeing my boyfriend, and being a positive influence for others. I love puppies and I'm very emotional.

HELLO!!!! My name is Mandy. I'd say my main hobby is procrastinating (I'm still working to fix that), but I also enjoy reading and watching TV. RANDOM FACT: I hate the sound of people chewing. The qualities I look for in a friend are honesty and actually caring about my well-being.

I've been learning a lot about things I don't want in my life, about seeing how truly unhealthy our world is and the garbage that is being fed to us and our children. I seen my 6 year old daughter going down the path I was when I was a teenager..but I was a teenager..she was 6. It scared me so bad I got an anxiety attack from it. She was sleeping all day and staying up all night..she barely ate and when she ate it was only junk. I took charge and forced her to sleep and eat right. It's day 1 for her..day 31 for me. It's hard for me a lot of the times but I manage to get through it somehow. I still feel really scared that I'll never overcome my anxiety/depression. I'm antidepressant free..only bc that's the last thing I want to turn too..instead I'm taking natural supplements, vitamins, working out everyday..the only thing is the eating part. It's so hard to find organic or healthy food from where I live..it's an isolated small town. I've watched "Food matters" and "fat,sick, and nearly dead" they totally inspired me to get healthy the right way. But I have my weak moments and I hate it. If I could have one wish it would be no sickness or diseases in thus world. :'( 💔

@Felishiam2

You're doing great things! Your daughter may not think much about it now but you're becoming a good role model. Taking charge of your health and life. Trying natural things for your anxiety and depression. Getting out in nature can help too. Don't be so hard on yourself. I am a natura/organic loving mommy BUT I can't afford everything to be organic unfortunately so you have to think about the bigger picture, fruits and veggies over junk. If you have an Aldi's near by even if it's a 45 mins drive it will be worth your time. They sell organic foods WAY cheaper and have cheap produce too. Or to wean yourself and your daughter off of junk, make the rule that if you want potato chips have an apple and a glass of water first and a limited amount of chips like a small bowl instead of grazing out of the bag.

I hope all goes well and you're feeling better soon *hugs*

@Cheshire94 Thank you for the encouragement. Since the post things have been getting a tad better. I been jucing now which I think helps too. I do have my bad moments. Atleast it's better then having a bad day..which I hope stays that way. I'm starting to accept things more apose to how I use too. But it's still a hard thing I must admit. I'm willing to do anything but antidepressants to get my baby girls mommy back.

@Felishiam2

What an odd coincidence, I just started juicing too. Glad to hear you're working so hard! Keep up the good work! If you haven't already tried it already, try red cabbage & spinach & carrots all three are really good for you

So since I've began the journey of anxiety/depression which has been a little over a month now. I have chosen to overcome it naturally. I been working out for about 3 1/2 weeks now. I walk on the tredmill 30 mins everyday. I been clear of junk and pop etc too. Not entirely raw and organic but leading to it once I start getting a little bit better. I been juicing but need a better juicer..which I'm definitely investing in asap. I been fueling up on vitamin C for my Iron intake for my RLS which has significantly started going away. Due to being anemic! I take Magnesium and Omega 3 every morning. But feel the need to start taking my B vitamins. Which I believe I do get from the veggie and fruit juicing I been doing for 4 days now. But probably need to get b12 supplement because it is not found in food. I try get natural vitamin D by going outside for 20 mins or so. But lately the days have been gloomy. I start online therapy March 28th. Which I'm pretty happy about. But today was such a hard day for me..only because I had my 2 sisters here visiting for 3 days and when they left today back home and they pulled out of the drive way I cried so hard that I cried myself to sleep. It's hard when u realize everyone is living their lives disease free and here you are just trying to find a moment where u can just smile and actually have emotion behind the smile. It's hard...I want my life back. I won't give up!

My name is BeachBrat and I'm 30 years old. Hobbies: The only hobby I've ever really had is reading tarot cards, which I've been doing for about 10 years now. Some random facts: I'm married with two kids (ages 9 & 10). One has learning disabilities, the other has Aspergers, and I homeschool both. I love learning, so I enjoy reading and watching shows that are educational. I particularly enjoy learning about science and the paranormal. Although, I love learning I'm known to go on Netflix binges with various tv. series. Some of my favorites are Supernatural, The Vampire Diaries, Bones, Eureka, and House. I'm always up for new suggestions :)
