Is anyone else having difficulty concentrating?

Recently, my depression has been getting worse. Like, a lot worse. And as my depression gets worse, it feels like I cant concentrate at all.

I keep trying to do my schoolwork, but it feels impossible for me to concentrate at all. No matter what I do, I just cant focus at all.

Its starting to get really bad, and at this point Im starting to get really worried. Today, I couldnt concentrate on anything at all. Not my phone. Not a book. Not the TV. Nothing!

I really dont know what to do, and I just wanted to know if anyone else is experiencing this too?

Can't concentrate either, no real to do anything either. Just flipping through options and just dropping it after a couple seconds

yes, I had the same issue and I couldnt study well for my exams, so I failed them :( I ended up dropping college for the second time..... it sucks tbh, don't let it be stronger than you. you aren't alone

What's concentrating? Something you eat?
I always have had trouble focusing. Now I'm opening my own activity and have to force myself to keep working for at least ten minutes without my mind wandering. Almost never works ;) maybe that's why I am not succeeding.
Things will get better, though :)

Hey Alex! I am Alexis! I too have trouble sleeping and both anxiety and depression contribute to this issue. Have you tried watching something uplifting or listening to uplifting music, drawing, or anything else that brings peace and therefore also boosts your spirits and lifts you out of depression? Hopefully you can find something that will bring you peace so you can sleep at night!

Exercise. Get to work. Clean the closet, scrub the shower. Clean light fittings, mow the grass. Keep busy doing manual things that make a difference to your health and wellbeing.

Im Im ab to recommence uni. Im Im rea worried about my depression and not being able to concentrate on study. Im Im try an app called engross to improve my concentration and focus. It times you. Say 20 mins on study/task and 10 mins of stray mind. You hit a button in between if your thoughts stray.

Yes, depression, your body starts shutting down...you want to sleep just to not know about anything...well, seek help as soon as possible, our forest of depressed people is black, dark and big...I wish you were not hit by depression...seek help quick...

THANK YOU for saying this!!!! Lately (like within the last few months) I haven't been able to concentrate on anything. I think maybe it's just part of feeling apathetic about everything? Sometimes I just feel like it's physically impossible for me to try at anything. Like I'm completely incapable of caring. Anyone have tips or ways to deal with this?

Also thanks for sharing, this makes me feel so much more normal haha.
